Ban Saray exposes cmn and dirtydog dd

I remember being lambasted by DD about welders, and the quality of them in Thailand. He seemed to think no-one else could have an opinion.
As I have been in Thailand for over 12 years, it's the sort of thing you expect from know it alls that have been here since breakfast, but DD has been here much longer, and actually makes a living ripping of people to build their houses.
They should have read his thread on building a brick wall - it fell down.
Laughed my tits off when I read it.
And if newbies can't hack the pace, they just leave, so what??
I only stick with it to pass the hours during my shift. Must admit have picked up some useful tips though, just can't remember any of them.
CMN built himself a house up in Korat some where, hope to meet up with him, seems a hard yakka type. I was up there over the weekend to see my teak trees, maybe next time, eh.

Well I'm sure I rwead a lond thread about DD's block and a fence, he had pictures and all.
I'm also sure it was DD who flew at me because I said that there were good Thai welders,
CMN I might have confused with another post, Baud Thai or something, and he had the same thread on Thaicoolhouse.
I appologise to CMN, I was not trying to expose hime or upset him - or DD.

I thank soemone for the noteriety I now have, but the theme of the original post was why people avoided this forum. I see this post as a direct example.

I will try to find the "lies and accusations" again DD.

Oh, last tidbit, you mentioned in one of your threads you mark up the cost by 20% of any job you do - your profit margin. Which in no way am I arguaing about, it is just over the top for people like me who work for a living, to have to pay this extortion.

That's why a lot of farangs build their own.

All building companies work on a 20 percent profit margin, all companies of every sort in the world work on a profit margin, even foking 7/11 work on a profit margin, do you think companies should do it for fun and not profit?

Extortion is a criminal offense, which occurs when a person either obtains money, property or services from another through coercion or intimidation

Looks like he wants to be paid as well for taking on some of their headaches - bastad!

How much do you get per hour, Ban Saray?

I didn't say you charged too much, I said it was a rip off. It's my opinion, I'm allowed to have one, aren't I?

Like one of DD's opening posts thrown at me " your obnoxious sprogs", which is among his comments on welders in Thailand try post #36-40, 17/5/07 - Shortage of teachers bad in Bangkok.

My hourly rate is around 800 B, and i work a 72 hour week.

I'm well qualified having put myself through university, started at age 35, after de-toxing my army career out of myself.

DD fence fell over, try Post#125, 18/5/06, 03:50, and my response to that is Post #137, 18/5/07, 12:12 am, where i offered condolences to DD, and even suggested we have a beer and talk about thai stuff ups.

I resent Tefler as a profession, I'm a shipbuilder, maritime engineer for the uneducated. And from the stupid actions of many on this thread I again assert that the original thread of why people leave this forum is shown very well in what you are trying on here.

As for physically building a house I have done so on three occassions, twice in Australia, once here. I bought the second house here and watched the Thai contractor stuff it up. I've watched the farang contractors working around my area and have no more faith in them than the Thais.
I am not saying DD is not worth what he charges, I am not prepared to pay it that's all.
One other farang i spoke to had no qualifications, just a folder full of testimonials. I happen to have quite a few qualifications, and hands on experience. I'm no cabinet maker, but I can and have built many other things besides ships.
Now you guys go and check my references and shut the fuck up.

I've built some houses but we always hired someone for the foundation as they had the heavy equipment to level the land. Is this possible in Thailand. I mean are their foundation companies? Also are there prebuilt trusses?

How is it a rip off? I use my staff, my tools, my transport, my time, the prices are the same as any Thai building company give or take a couple of percent.

Most people dont come onto a forum to post lies, if they want to though it's probably better if they do leave.

I did read that thread, a long time ago and if my memory serves me right it was knocked down by a grading machine.

if you are implying that it fell down of its of accord I am afraid you are wrong.

Yes they do because generally they are either tight or stupid enough to think that the job will be done right first time to western standards without farang intervention and supervision on the job.

Just hire a digger and a grader with driver for the day, no pre built trusses, just as cheap to make them in place.
