^^I think its USD = AUD x 1.2, so you are more expensive. Its just the availability, you ring up it's all arranged, then they cancel because someone offered to pay more.

No it was just the way he instantly came out with a comment that had no basis in fact. I was a little stunned that he wrote it thats all.

Sorry for my incorrect use of words, I sent you a post No 137, in that Thread, you obviously have not seen it or just chose to ignore it.

Yes suppose you are right, just strikes me as odd that a lot of people read things into comments that were never there. Also strikes me as very odd that no-one can accept they are wrong, ever.

I can't wait till I start on my next house, I'm sure there will be lots of advise on what I'm not doing right.

And to conclude this thread, that was started by someone on my behalf has nearly as many posts as I have in total. Quite an acheivement, even if it was not sought after.
    Good evening all.

They are generally initialed as this one was or it is mentioned by one of the mods that it is a split thread to try and stop any confusion on the issue of who started the thread.

I think if you read the construction forum you will find it constructive rather than abusive, stuff on the more serious forums generally has to stay on topic and be constructive.

As I have been in Thailand for over 12 years
Could you be more precise? 12 years 2 weeks, 3 months?
It's important. Why not say over 10 years or 12 years. You sound like the guys saying they've been here 2 years and 3 months as if they deserve some respect. I always say over 10 years and have for a few years.

I love it when I am invited to see a 'falang' home that only cost 5 million baht to build. And the home (not the land) is probably worth about 1 million baht...

The bottom line is this. If one can't speak the lingo PLUS know the trade, well I like how the Thais put it..."Up to you"!

you've got all these quals so why are you paid such a lowly rate...I'm a teacher and I earn more than you...thought you "ship builders" were into the big money...oh except that I don't work 72 hours a week...

don't really know why you've got such a bee in your bonnet but you're not making any friends here with this carry on...
