Fakebook has added legitimacy to the Crypto cause. Traditional money never invested because it wasn't a threat. Fakebook showed it could be. Ripple CEO said in an interview he was sending Fakebook a box of champagne to thank them for making FIs FOMO into signing up. Suddenly no one wants to be left behind.

Will we now see Amazon coin? AirBnB coin? Netflix coin?

There's a real battle of trust going on.

they are using tendermint and BFT as far as I recall , so they are close to being a blockchain and the masternodes will be validating blocks
the 100 masternodes they plan for is more than EOS which all their fanbois regard as a real crypto

banking the unbanked - they have a pretty global reach even now throughout africa and many cheapo phones run some sort of farcebook app

and farcebook has the cash to bulldoze objections by regulators , so overall I think it will be a good thing for crypto - it will be basically a stablecoin medium of exchange

Finally bothered sending them off an email about not being allowed into my account after logging in. Have whitewashed all their listed email addresses, still no verification email arriving.

No biggie, ain't got much in there. Will see how it goes.
