No it isn't. I invested a couple of grand for shits 'n giggles and pulled out after making a small profit. Meanwhile you’re heavily invested and barely covering costs for mining and clearly exhibiting signs of the stress and strain and ranting and projecting that onto others. Your usual trick of just making shit up.

And all because you're an easily impressed, led and gullible fool who takes investment advice from someone like McAfee -- a man of questionable mental health and spotty investment record -- because he said BTC will go to USD1 mil and he’ll eat his own penis. And you can’t even get that much right: constantly shifting and changing the date.

You're an idiot and a loser, Earl.

Earl's standard responses when the facts don't match his deluded ranting: run / obfuscate / shift the posts.

Much of the anger that investors feel is toward the smaller virtual currencies, or alt coins, that entrepreneurs sold in so-called initial coin offerings. These coins were supposed to serve as payment mechanisms for new software the entrepreneurs were building.

But almost none of these companies have delivered the software they promised, leaving the tokens useless, except as speculative assets. Several coins have been exposed as outright scams.
"I think I'd like to see most alts go to zero before I feel like the whole space isn't overpriced," Herman said.
like this bloke I am a bit above even for what I have put in , though unlike him I have been buying in over the last couple of months - I have added about 6k euro to my holdings , which of the 6k is probably about 10% down , but averaged with my original holdings I am still up - I will pop another 2K euro in this week or next as I see how the trend is going as I like the low price of my favoured coin which actually does deliver the engineering it promises and a bit part of it will be live on its mainet very shortly which will garner alot of attention

as for his comments about alts - I have said it earlier in this thread - 95+% of them are worthless tokens and shilling ,promises and marketing hype are no replacement for real devopment

    good on you

there seems to have been a couple of clear manipulations of the BTC price in the last week with the big pump and then dump

BTC seems to have ground upwards in the last 24-48 hours so I do wonder when the next manipulation will happen - the market seems to be a bit of a plaything at the moment

the whole BTC is manipulated by design,

biggest ponzi scheme ever, and as usual the SEC and other regulators sleeping at the wheel until it's too late

The SEC is going to review the recent ETF decisions, yet the most important one the Vaneck one will be decided 19 Sept if I'm not mistaken. Still keeping capital ready for another wave down, there's a lot going on in the crypto world, lots of tokens will indeed die as they should but there are few goldies in there. Mainly I'm hoping to repeat 2017 by buying now and maybe adding even lower if/when we get a next wave down.
Regards being it all a ponzi or not ? I dont think so but even it is, it made X8 my investment last year, money in now is free money.
My bet is that next year a few months before the halving we could see 2017 spikes in prices. looking back since inception, it is rinse and repeat, easy money of you're on the ball.

Not affiliated to this but this guy's view is realistic :

I fully agree with your link which says btc could rise or drop further, then it could rise or might not.

free money now ? did you at least paid the tax you owe on your capital gains ?

last week the SEC has denied the registration of 3 Bitcoin ETFs, doubt they will accept that one from Van Eck

An interesting article by a guy who went to a conference in Vietnam. The conference was about the use of digital currencies/blockchain solutions as a means of investing in real estate projects. It alleges some are wary of using banking money exchanges due to the possibility of sanctions or banks stopping transactions. It appears that 90% of these investments are currently in the top 10 "transparent" countries of the world. Whatever that means. That leaves the other 90% of the worlds countries with some "transparency" problems which need solving.

The conference sponsor, an ameristani company, suggests that using "blockchain solutions" the transparency issue is probably resolved.

That has got to mean more blockchain solutions forthcoming, yes?

Blockchain is De-Dollarizing the Investing World

"I felt it was too important to miss especially in these current sanctioned and trade tariff times. Pioneering this effort is an American company called Relex (RLX), the world’s first cryptocurrency-based real property development and investing group.

This approach allows investment in projects during the development phase, resulting in passive income, equity stakes, or proxy ownership of property(s). Initial projects are based in Vietnam, Vladivostok (Russia), Cambodia, and Myanmar, which for various non-business reasons and external barriers have been politically shunned on the FDI scene of late, although showing strong, solid growth. Included was an on-site visit of their first large oceanfront development in DaNang. Among those attending were a broad cross-section of businesspeople from throughout the international community, investors, financial advisors and developers.

It is clear that businesses in a number of countries are feeling various and increasing pressures from their governments, banks and similar regulating/regulated groups to conform within ever-narrowing, ever-thornier investment opportunity corridors. This has been emphatically and clearly shown through sanctions, trade and tariff confrontations, as well as a host of other political and financially erected barriers."

a bit of market manipulation over the last couple of days caused the cryptos to dump

A top Goldman Sachs executive looked to clear the air Thursday about the bank's cryptocurrency ambitions after reports that it was abandoning plans to open a trading desk for cryptocurrencies.

"I never thought I would hear myself use this term but I really have to describe that news as fake news," Goldman Sachs Chief Financial Officer Martin Chavez said on stage at the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference in San Francisco.

The CFO said Goldman is working on a type of derivative for bitcoin because "clients want it."

"The next stage of the exploration is what we call non-deliverable forwards, these are over the counter derivatives, they're settled in U.S. dollars and the reference price is the bitcoin-U.S. dollar price established by a set of exchanges," Chavez said.

It's never going back up...... but just in case.....

Electricity is included in my condo fees, so I was wondering is any of these scam coins are worth mining?

I suspect that lectrik-included deal won't last long once you start mining.

We all have the perfect vision in hindsight. Why didn't i just toss $200 into the ring when it was par.
Now it gets a little riskier with the bigger bite.
