CFTC official rejects idea of accelerating blockchain work

Dan Bucsa, an oversight official at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, has given a chilly reception to an executive's suggestion that the CFTC prioritize blockchain work more. It is up to the industry to "decide to transition to a new way of doing things," Bucsa says.

    CFTC: Cryptocurrency scams cheat investors

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has warned investors to look out for cryptocurrency "pump-and-dump" schemes, in which promoters use social media and other online outlets to manipulate the market price of cryptocurrencies. The CFTC has received complaints from investors who have lost money through the scams.

Well my shares are almost back at pre ‘correction’ level and up almost 5% on my coins as of few minutes ago, 23% in total.

    Good start to the weekend.

FYI...anybody trying to get in on the LTC fork, Charlie Lee says they're isn't gonna be one and word on the internets is the devs are asking for private keys to distribute LTC Cash. If you give out your pvt keys you deserve to get burnt.

Well, BTC up nicely lately and ETH down.
I remember telling myself if that happens, trade some BTC for more ETH. (my portfolio is very BTC heavy)
But now that it is happening, I have cold feet.
Enjoying the ride but am wondering why ETH is not onboard with most other's going up lately.
    Any ideas ?
ps. I'm not a trader, but more into Hodl-ing till one year is up, like Luigi. (I bought back in Oct so doing pretty good)

ETH is gonna hiccup. BTC will be worth $1,200,000 eventually 2-3 years from now.
I think it's worth holding as BTC is just emerging around the world as serious global currency.

Sure BTC has issues, and it seems like as each issue arrises the development of the technology improves. BTC has an apparently very good development team., which bodes well for the future adoption of the currency.

And there are of course a number of alt-coin with more specific uses, which will coincide with the rise of BTC.

and it fuels the hype for the other coins,

when BTC collapses after a complete ban, the other coins will disappear as rapidly

I've got a BX question... I presume that a sell order is set at the price when you submit it - i.e. timestamped and at the rate pretty much when you hit 'Submit'?

I ask because I've just seen my portfolio have a B500 swing in about 30 seconds. Not a lot by any means, but as volumes increase it might be a consideration.

    Yes.

And you can change the price to whatever amount you want. Same for the buy order.

If nobody buys/sells at that rate it stays as an open order until someone does.
