My bet is that we will actually see a big spread between Futures and the actual Bitcoins on the "independent" exchange, the Futures might actually go up in the first hours of trading, tracking the actual bitcoins exponential growth

after that, who the fook knows

If the markets work they should eventually track each other fairly closely but of course I have no idea what will actually happen. It will be interesting to find out...

That is wild. Do you find yourself at a screen hitting refresh all day? If it was me I would certainly be temped.

Nope. Just have this as a tab. Refreshes itself every 5 seconds or so, even when not open. I open it whenever I want a look-see at much money I've lost.

interesting, a lot of those trades are not for a full bitcoin, but fractions of it

unlike stocks, you can't buy .0035 share of Apple, but with Bitcoins, no problem

That's nearly all accounts of BTC. Most of them .1 BTC or less. I think its a cool feature actually. Give very small investors a chance.

One share of Amazon is like a thousand bucks. That's ridiculous.

Theres easier ways to make money than spending 20 hours a day hitting F5, Lu. I bet you dream about these invisible coins now

that Thai website actually did a good job, the beep is brilliant, like some kind of dangerous alert, or a video pinball game hitting new highs

it is, but at the same time it encourages micro players, if you had to buy minimum 1 bitcoin, I bet volume would drop and so would the price

it's looks a lot like high frequency trading actually, so there could be some sophisticated trading algos behind the whole manipulating thing

So, 0.1 BTC @ $1500 (circa, currently) is not ridiculous?

Especially when Amazon are bricks and mortar and produce tangible profits.

Correct. Very soon you'll be able to by 0.0001 The whole concept, like a pyrmid scheme, requires new blood constantly.

The people that bought-in at the start are not too worried. They only invested $500. It's greed that's holding back the top 40% of account holders. But it will only take a few to be wise or nervous and a rush will start on the exchange. Stock market crash, and it's the later big investors who will be jumping out windows.

I'm quite sure severe regulation is just around the corner to burst this bubble. As I said on https://teakdoor.com/world-news/18132...-backed-2.html (Enter the 'petro': Venezuela to launch oil-backed cryptocurrency)
Regulation may be a matter of time, but the unintended consequence for the establishment is that you cannot have regulation without recognition. In fact, this might be what btc needs to really take off.

I'm out!. Sold all holdings at a profit earlier this morning.

Haven't transferred the money back into my Thai bank account yet though, will watch it keenly and jump back in if/when the time seems right.

Don't be so quick to judge it’s probably better than yours. You were never that bright to begin and you’ve suffered a notable and precipitous mental decline since you started evangelically promoting piss drinking (ironically with the exact same fevor and disregard for logic and common sense that you’re applying again in this thread).

That having been said you can’t have my piss, you sick old fuxk.
