All ready for the big celebration tomorrow folks? 3rd of Jan - show us the reserves day or as it is known in the inner circles, Kryptogeddon. How many Crypto currencies will be shown to be insolvent this year? Ohh the excitement. The acid test is to check if your accounts are blocked from making withdrawals. If so... it means good night Irene on that one.

still a believer in bitcoin here, skeptical at some point over the years but fluctuations and current situation reinforce what it is and where it goes, future will tell...

Fiat currency has less backup in the digital world than Bitcoin, and current Fiat currencies are digital too, without good backup. Mike Malloney has some good points and many others also...

1 Million Usd 1 Bitcoin = Soon (er or later.)

    Amen brother.

Never mind the naysayers, with their '-70% for the year', 'that exchange has been robbed' and 'that coin doesn't exist anymore' tish-tosh.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) plans to apply for a digital asset operating licence from the Finance Ministry, aiming to open a new exchange and become an authorised digital asset exchange this year.

Crypto Exchange Says It Can't Repay $190 Million to Clients After Founder Dies With Only Password

Canadian crypto exchange QuadrigaCX says it cannot repay most of $190 million in client holdings after its 30-year-old founder Gerald Cotten, the only person who knew the passwords to its “cold storage,” unexpectedly died in India in December 2018, Coindesk reported on Friday.

In a sworn affidavit with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, widow Jennifer Robertson said that QuadrigaCX owes its customers some $190 million in both cryptocurrency and fiat money. QuadrigaCX has filed for creditor protection because it says it cannot access the funds stored in “cold storage,” just the comparatively smaller amount in a “hot wallet” used for transfers
Some other reporting has suggested it is possible some of the funds in question moved after the case was publicized, and though the evidence was not definitive, it and the strange circumstances of Cotten’s death spurred accusations that his demise was either faked or the pretext for an exit scam by other parties with access to the holdings, according to CCN.

^ some justifiable suspicion about this - it may be an exitscam

an interesting technical analysis last week from Murad showed he believed BTC will go to 1850 USD about mid june before it starts to rise properly

maybe his business partner is claiming not to have the password, but he actually has it and taking it all away quietly with a fake excuse

anyway, bitcoins and the like revealing themselves as being insecure, corrupted, and centrally managed at one point or another

a complete scam, that only gullible teenage gamers could fall for
