Do I have to leave a passport for bike rentals? Is it safe to leave my passport with you?

    A couple of things...

I don't think "Home" is the best name for the site, maybe "The Pirate's Cove | Home" would be better.

If you want a picture to be viewed at 397x292 then save a picture with those dimensions on your server rather than relying on the code to shrink it from 573x351 as it takes twice as long to load as necessary and looks crap.

If you're going to use Thai, it should be specified in the code so the browser knows how to display it.

Also, please stop people looking at the menu when they're starving (like I am), 'cos it's not fair.

    Otherwise, it looks fine.

Yes we require a passport or if you are going to do a border run then a photo copy and other ID.

Yes it is safe. We keep your passport well fed and tuck it into it's bed every night

I don't know what you have done to this picture, but at nearly 150kb it should be a bit sharper.

Can you make that a bit bigger, DD. I can't quite make out what it's supposed to be.

I think I like the old one better, the color scheme fit the bar much better and it filled in the page.. the page really needs to fit to the screen. I dont know if it is my browser or what but it isnt filled in.

Considering the name, "Pirates Cove" I would think it would have a darker feel to it like the old site.

Whats up with the glass of wine? Is it saying "fine dining for fine occasions"?

The food menu looks good, but the bike menu is non-existent.

You need to set your screen resolution to about 5,000 to view it properly

center the page try a wrapper dive set to the same width az the table and set ther left & right margins to auto

Agree about the wine glass and overall feel of the page it doesn't match the venue
you've got some screwy font problems inteh menu do not assume people have teh same font set as you either use a graphic for special fonts or set your chareset to utf8 in stead of iso-8859-1 and use a text ediitor that supports utf8 when coding

I look at a page for a minute before I look at the source; You got problems relative links with ../ in front of them scare me strange thing is they are from the root so the .. is actually inaccurate. Go through all the pages and replace "../" with "/" tons of JS erros when mousing over the drop down menus. You really don;t need to use that 35K javascript file when the same affect can be had with the proper use of CSS and list items. it's a template site and they do limit your options also there is a javascript error in the rollover.js file it may not be important but after browsing the page the drop downs started dropping down from the page top instead off the menu choices. can't reproduce it nor am I inclined to spend the time trying to. I am viewing it in Firefox 2.xx.x BTW

It's not a bad site it just very typical of what these page generators can do if you are not diligent in using them It's why I hand code everything I do.

No page titles, not descriptions once you are indexed by google you're gonna lose what rank you have, the markup out numbers the content 4 or 5 to 1. Simple drop down menus with nothing but a bit of color and print canbe done with text instead of images

Buildin a fixed-wdith page to display in 800x600 is commendable although 90+ of your viewers willbe on 1024x768 or better. But having it completely left aligned is a big mistake see the above to get it centered On my 1280 screen it looks like a half page

All of the above comments are sound criticisms but the site aint bad for a first effort. The place is a funky, comfortable, hole-in-the-wall type joint, the site does nothing to reflect that.

Links to a blank page a real no-no This site is not ready for production, but you're in it now. Hopefully you can get a few of the things fixed before too long. Good luck

I always have people go over my sites like this. And (usually ) appreciate the feed back. Even when it's fuckin' picky. if all he wanted was a "Oooh, nice site" type comment I think he would just asked his mom. All of he comments have been helpful and to the point

Hopefully he'll take them in that vein.

One more comment from an experienced and successful restaurantuer, 'Never publish pictures of you restaurant empty."

Chang Mai is a long way from the sea, so 'Pirates Cove' is surely a misnomer.
