    Rescued by bike

So I pedaled to my local town from the village to retrieve the Land Rover from the mechanic.

Made the rounds of the new bamboo and rubber trees and stopped on top of my favorite hill to enjoy an icy cold noonday beer in the cool breeze.

When I went to leave the battery in the old Land Rover failed to cooperate.

Instead of being pissed off I was kinda delighted for the excuse to ride another 25kms for the day.

Tomorrow I'll head back out with lil Nissan and sort it out.

God Bless the bicycle, for the bicycle is lord and savior.

So for all your dribbling about bicycles, health, saving the planet, the evils of motor vehicles... You own at least two.

Drink and drive too do you?

Carrot and stick. You need some cycling buddies to spur you on to greater efforts.

Err.. how so dearest PeeWee? I've made it very clearly I don't subscribe to convention and common law.

Unlike you having a couple beers doesn't impair highly evolved individuals.

Because you've been quite vocal in advocating that everyone ditch their cars in some navel-gazing idea you have of saving the planet and being healthy.

Yet you own more vehicles than most. It's called hypocrisy.

And you may think having a couple of beers doesn't impair you but your judgement is suspect on that since you apparently have a drinking problem. It's not highly evolved to cause death or harm to others just because you're an idiot.

    AR has a point

Gotta say A R has a point. By your own admission you are guilty of disturbing a Land Rover from its natural habitat i.e. immobile, in bits, in a mechanics workshop and in need of large sums of cash.

Years ago my mate John from Humpty Doo summed up Land Rovers and Range Rovers perfectly with "People who own those things deserve them".

    Nissan to the rescue, Eh?

BTW LD, great argument for low rider layouts.

This God entity reference always seems to be unconsciously directed as a masculine human figure.

    Why is this?

Interesting observation; I'll be sure to inquire an astute introspection from my ladyboy pals next time I visit the Nana.
They have a girly god BTW.

    Guilty!
I could go on an on about the stupid money spent on this Rover.

Still it got me to the top of the hill.

I'm considering just leaving it there.
