    Old joke:

Q: What's the difference between a Thai and a supermarket trolley?

A: The trolleys sometimes appear to have a mind of their own.

For moderate sun exposure coconut oil has a natural SPF of 4. I would use it as a base and add zinc oxide (non-nano) to increase the SPF to as high as you need.
    Re-apply frequently (especially if swimming).

Physical sunscreens i.e. Zinc oxide/Titanium oxide are superior to chemical sunscreens as they are more stable and effective at blocking UVA/UVB rays.

"Chemical sunscreens work by absorbing (or sometimes scattering) UV rays. Physical (or mineral)iswhen the UV is reflected off the skin, and doesn’t absorb into the skin at all".

The sun is the most damaging thing to our skin. 80% of skin aging is due to sun exposure/environmental pollutants, so you could argue that it is a healthy obsession that Thais/Asians have, being paranoid about sun damage.
    NZ....really interested in this

What do you mean physical sunscreens ?

and what to use instead of coco oil...bit sticky, greasy...oily ....

want strong....for kids in surf every day

^ "Invisible zinc" is a good product. Made in aussie for their harsh sun protection.

It's a physical sun screen (so reflects the rays) rather than absorbing them like chemical sunscreens.

$20 here in NZ. Apply 20 min before sun exposure and re-apply frequently.

Without experience, I wouldn't recommend attempting to make your own sunscreen for outdoor protection... light indoor protection yes.

Ideally, you would need a high-pressure machine called a homogenizer to break up zinc and titanium dioxode particles and distribute them evenly through the formula.

If you can't find invisible zinc (are you in Thailand?) I am sure they must have Neutrogena (sport version) SPF 70+ oil free. It resists sweat and is water resistant for 80 min.

Try boots pharmacy or even Tops/Big C. *look for the new one with helioplex broad spectrum UVA/UVB.
