Hi All
We have lost our camera in Phi Phi. Insurance covers the camera, but lots of beautiful photos are gone. If you know of anyone who has found one, seen or heard of something, please let me know. It was a Canon Ixus850 in a brown camera pouch rom Crumbler.
Thx
Peter
Talk about hoping. Buy a new camera on the insurance ****face.
I have just booked a flight to go to BKK on the 30th December to 22nd January, this will be my second time in Thailand and im concerned that the novelty will have worn off. I want to know how it has been for other people second time around. Thank you xxx
It'll be the same you fool, you'll head straight to Khao Sarn Road and mingle with the other wankers. you'll probably love it, too.
Two days ago I was drinking some buckets with my boyfriend, his sister and her boyfriend on Khao San rd in Banglamphu, Bangkok. After a while my sister in law really needed to go to the toilet and we went into a bar/restaurant/guesthouse (Chart Guesthouse 58-62 Khao San Road, Banglamphu). The waitresses weren't looking friendly so I sat down and stared at the menu for a while, while my sister in law went to the toilet. When she returned I walked to the toilet.
While I was sitting on the toilet someone came in and asked "What are you doing." I thought she wasn't talking to me so I didn't reply. Then she tried to kick my toilet door open and screams "Do you want to die?". So I answer "What's wrong?".
When I came out of the toilet a waitress was standing there with a full bucket in her hands. She's really angry and asks me why I didn't order something and where my table is.
I walk back to the table and tell her that this is my table. By now there are about 6 angry waitresses standing around me. I would have wanted to pay if they wouldn't have asked me if I wanted to die. I panicked already and just wanted to get out ...
Next time ask, and pay the 20 Baht charge that is levied for non customers. You don't just waltz into any bar like you own the gaff.
Does anyone else really struggle with this site?
I know when it comes to the internet Thailand is still 10 years in the last century, but I would've thought a company the size of Thai airways would be able to maintain a decent connection.
6 months ago when I was booking a flight through the website I couldn't get it past the stage where you've found your flights and click submit to get it booked. It took me about 5 days, trying all sorts of different times of the day before I could push my booking through.
This time I'm having similar issues, I want to log in to the frequent flyer program to check it out, but it won't let me past the stage where I click on submit.
Anyone have any ideas of the best time of day to use this piece of junk? I noticed I can go to thaiairways.com.au, but when I go to do something which requires the backend I end up on the same old crappy servers anyway.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, last time I missed the initial flight I wanted to get and had to settle for a different one
Next time try using a computer.
Sawaadee!
I just relocate to chiang mai and will spend the next year or so studying thai culture, yoga, thai chi, music, dance, art, photography, cooking, massage, and of course to travel further thru out se asia.
any like minded people out there, living here or just passing thru you can contact me at elfomalo@hotmail.com or find me on tribe.net
Why not just cut out the middle man and go straight to the Text and Talk website?
Any one recomend any cheap hotels in Hat Yai? Also where are the best bars to meet girls?
Try the internet and then head for a girlie bar. There are plenty.
Hi,
Has anyone done any Mahout training in Lampang or around Chiang Mai recently? I am looking at doing a 3 day course in Lampang around September this year but it is very expensive. Is it worth the money?
Yeah you can easily get a job back in the UK with such training. Way to go!
Right now in Saskatoon, Saskatchewn the temperature is 35C (95F), the humidity at 50% giving a humidex of 46C (heat Index of 115F).
It's unbelievably hot and humid.... It wasn't this hot in Bangkok when I was there in early April but feels indentical...sans air pollution.
Unfortunately, there is no cold Singha beer for sale here...
And?
