    Life Is Good

Four years since my stroke. Just came in from playing frisbee with my kids. Life is good. Happy New Year to all!

    Good on you Davis,

My poor mum died at age 62 after a massive stroke. Took two years to die.

I'm 4 years short of that. Every time I see a stroke victim I flash back to my poor mum.

    Farkkkkk.

    You are one lucky man.
Davis , with that little nugget I can understand a tad more about your mindset.

You've got to admit that you probably view life a bit differently than before your stroke. Life is precious. So is one's health (IMO).

May the new year be good to you and your loved ones.

Thanks all. Got to admit, my sprint is a bit slower, but my arm is good and my aim is true. Life's little pleasures......

^Funny...that's the position I used to play in college.

Better to play it than to be it.

Yes Davis, life is good. It beats the alternative.

I heard guy talking about his wood burner in his cabin. Didn't trust a large fire in it.

He told me he was afraid of waking up dead. Had me in stiches as I had to explain that one does not "wake up dead."

Glad your better. Living the dream, it beats the alternative. Happy new year.

Happy for you, Davis. I hope you have plenty of fresh orange juice for the bioflavinoids....they strengthen capillary walls.

    Nice one mate. Have fun.

My dad & younger sis both had heart attacks in the last 2yrs. My grandad died of one. I had tests and was fine but will make it a 6 monthly occurence.
Makes one appreciate life abit more. 2015 was virtually a sober one for me. Can't be arsed. I've saved a lot of cash as a result, hence my two trips next year feb & april (so far), Koh Bulon Lae & Tokyo

Happy New Year Davis I'm happy to hear you're doing so well, funny thing about strokes is how quickly different folks recover from them, I had one this morning and I'm ready for another one already
