Do you own an unusual pet?

I am working away alot lately trying to get a retirement or a new way of making money sorted in Thailand.
When I am there retired or semi retired I am going to get a couple of small spider monkeys,a parrot or 2.
I would like a couple of Staffordshire bull terrier and a coy carp pond.
My brother has suggested I could get a couple of crocodiles as well and I have thought why not could be interesting.
We live in isaan so room is not a problem.I won't get any more animals now as we have 5 dogs( all strays) I have taken in and a few cats that have moved into a crawl space under the house. My wife feeds them but generally does nothing else for the animals we have so I am reluctant to get more pets until I can devote time to them.
Vet bills are cheap and I love animals.
Do you have anything different than the mongrels that I have

I have a few feral Indochinese spitting cobras - whom I smash the shat out with the fat end of a shovel whenever I come across the hateful kunts - that live in the garden.

They don't come out during the daytime as a rule. Go look for holes in your lawn about 25-30mm across lined with spiders web. That's their home.
If you have 'Tarantula Hawk Wasps' hopping around your lawn that also is an indication of Tarantulas residing.

Please don't do that. They are not a native species to asia, they are a new world species. I think they are also CITES I - which means they are a protected species and as such any you get hold of will have been illegally trafficked.

Lastly, while they look "cute" when small they are a difficult and potentially dangerous animal to keep.

Oops - you are right. Siamese and saltwater crocs are also apparently CITES I.

Of course, they are extensively farmed here- but probably requires a licence (no idea to be honest).
