    Anyone know about baseball?

I'm giving the lad a baseball mitt and baseball for xmas but I'm not sure if I should get left hand or right hand.
He's a lefty, so do they wear the mit on the strong hand and throw with the weak or wear the mit on the weak hand and throw with the strong.
Should I get a left or right handed mitt for a lefty?
    Thanks.

Is base ball a Dance in the Officer's Mess?

According to Malay historians their national dance was callef rongegng when the brown jiggers copied the toffs ceilidh

    http://e-mailforwards.blogspot.co.uk...-of-words.html

Some Malays approached one of the revellers and asked him what they were doing. The Malays said they had heard of the may pole dance and even the hula-hula. But the frenzy and leaping about like demented maniacs?

After one tot of rum too many, the Mat Salleh thought that the Malays were asking him if they could join in the fun. He was in no mood to harangue. Instead of saying "nah...you're not one of us. You guys belong to the wrong gang" he hollered "Wrong gang. Wrong gang."

From that day, whenever the Malays taged a dance, they called it ronggeng.
I used to have a job at a calendar factory.
    I got the sack because
I took a couple of days off.

They just don't have the open spaces in China.
Don't know what it is, it's really hard to find somewhere to kick a ball around even.

Unless the kid needs something position-specific, don't buy him a catcher's mitt or first-baseman's glove (easy to spot- check google). Also avoid huge outfielder's gloves unless that's where he wants to play. A nice infileder's glove would be a good choice as he can play pretty much any position (except catcher) with it.

If you aren't sure, post pics before buying/ordering.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Thanks, I didn't realize there were so many options.
There won't be any actual baseball played as there's nowhere to play, it's mostly just for throw and catch.

If that's the case, any mitt (again, except for catcher/first base) is fine- get something middle-sized (if there's a selection) as sometimes the ball gets 'lost' is a bigger glove and you have hunt a little to dig it out (they're meant more for fly balls than quick catch-throw transitions), and it's a smoother process with a smaller glove.

Well the missus had gone ahead and ordered two, one for his friend as well. They're 10 1/2 inch. For kids obviously, won't fit my hand.

He needs one hand mitt free to throw.
