safety is up to the managers

I learned many years ago that safety is up to me - it has kept me alive - , but really safety is up to the team working

everybody in the area of the work should be looking after their fellow workers and telling them if they think they are doing something that is unsafe - boss or cleaner - if your cleaner does not think he can tell a boss that he is engaging in unsafe practice then the manager is responsible for an inadequate safety culture

too much unsafe activity is because of macho bullsh1t by people who think the laws pf physics do not apply because they do not understand them
