    The archives thread

I was looking for my 1960s Nat Geos to find the place where her mom lives. I know I have it and I will keep looking because, think about it, It would look great on the wall of the dance hall, (the big empty as it's not quite finished) the house we built in Laos. The kids may have a good laugh having aerial photos from The late 60s /70s.

If a picture paints a thousand words....

I thought I set those ones aside, Crazy but you know a place even from the air once you've been their. I know their here somewhere.

anyhow what I found was this.

You might be surprised to know that old archival photos of Laos/Southern Laos [Pakse included] can be secured throughout the web, if one knows how to look.

Going way back, historically - including 60s/70s, which seems to be catching your interest.

Thanks meme, I get that grid stuff and can google in moms farm ect but the paper it's just different. The old photographs ect. Have misplaced or just forgot where I stashed them. They are here but have so much to sift through. I'll try to go on however.

Twenty years ago a gal I worked with bought the place on 27th st. For 60kusa. All furnishings. Seems the surving son lived in FLORIDA. He was a Lawyer and didn't want to deal with the place.
Shit man minks stowels, a stocked bar with unopened booze withought tax stamps. Furniture from the 1920s. Art ect. Murrials on the walls.
Hell even I could have lived there.

Wibble wibble rhubarb rhubarb comes from Peru.

    Why is a mouse?

Random clockwork jibbermonkeys are living in the attic of my old schoolfriend.

How many leaves are on the deck. I tried to count them while they were blowing around but I fell asleep.

    Is it dinner time yet?

Beware the Jaber walk my son. The Jaws that bite the claws that catch.
    Beware the JubJub bird.
    And shun the framuliuos bandersnatch.
He took his vorpal sword in hand:Long time the maxome foe he sought
So rested he by the tum tum tree
    And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood'
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame'
Came wiffing through the tulgey wood'
    and burbled as it came!

One two! One two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker snack!

He left it dead, and with it's head he went galumphing back.

And has though slain the Jabberwock?

Come to my arms, my beamish boy!

    Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

    He chortled in his joy.

    'Twas brilling,and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

    All mimsy were the borogroves,

    And the mome raths outgrabe.
