Yep he is. Rumours around that he is going to call a snap election as the labour parties standing has gone up in the polls since he became PM. About two or three wekks ago I think.

Blair stepped down after being the longest serving PM in British history. 11 years. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

    Now, it's Mr. Brown.

    More news at 11.

Tony Blair is the longest serving Labour prime minister 2nd May 1997 to 27th June 2007.

Margaret Thatcher served from 1979 to 1990.

Britain's longest serving prime minister was Lord Liverpool from 1812 to 1827.

yes, it will go downhill now for the UK and will only get worse when Labour lose the election, as the conservatives would be much worse

Luckily, you already had no credibility to lose, so I shall ignore this nonsense.

I'm afraid the Conservatives are still unelectable. It'll be Labour for a fourth term.

I'm a bit confused as to when this happened.

I read the BBC website nearly everyday and am rather concerned that I missed it. Did it happen on a Sunday afternoon or something whilst I was having my afternoon walk?

Hell, it happended so long ago, they've even had enough time to hold a by-election in Tony's old manner (last night, which Labour won but with a reduced majority)

I think we should dump Gordon Brown and have a celebrity prime minister.

How about that chap who presents Clive Anderson talks back? ..Always thought he would be good and he looks the part.

    Who? Michael Parkinson?

He's just retired, so he'll probably not want to do it.

No but the "Special Relationship" is being realigned... Lets hope Brown can make it clear to the Americans that they are a big smelly joke who no one likes

In the context of warfare, direct fire means aiming through a sight directly at the target. This sight may be open fore and back sight or optical.

These guys were killed by mortar fire which is indirect fire
