    I think it's bollix.

Having tried to teach my ex how to iron, it really is a lost cause.

It took him almost an hour to iron one shirt, i could do it in six minutes. And, yes, i did time myself. How sad is that?!!

He was too knackered to even think about bonking!!! Getting into the creases on a shirt absolutely killed his libido!!

He wanted to become a "New Man". Helping do mundane everyday cleaning and cooking. The only thing he managed to cook well were chips. Throw a chicken his way to roast. Too much like hard work!!

Och well, at least he tried. Bless, his perfecty ironed wee cotton socks!!

    ^

Did you have to iron a crease into the back of the shirt like the Aussy boys do. ?

    Jesus, what a hassle.

Box crease on the back and knife edge down the sleeves with no tram lines.

I spent my last 16 months as a Basic Training Drill Sergeant. Super starched, creased uniforms; changed uniforms 2 or 3 times a day. I can iron!

Can't say it ever got me laid.....more the pity.

We had ex Army boys in the Fire Service who used to Iron their shirts like that.

They could not get it out of their system.

    Fuk we laughed. 55555

It was like, fuk me Dude, you are not in the Army now.

As with the other ex-servicemen, I can iron.... I do the Sunday Best and pressing, letting Mrs Troy do the casual stuff.

Same with the cooking, I do the Sunday Roast and any expensive dishes and let her do the rest. Having said that, we do share the vegetable peeling....never, ever let her near steaks or wine based sauces though.

^ You need to clean that iron in a hurry mate....

BTW the steam ones work best...but make sure to brush the steam out after....

...and if you're gonna press, use a wet tea-towel and if you are in DK's area make sure you stick some brown paper/cardboard up the trousers/sleeves....I reckon his bark will have most of you quivering in yer boots!

On a sad note...there was a great ex Irish Guards guy up in Wanon (between Udon and Sakhon) who passed away last year. (Bob Noble)..served in Egypt and was a Bat-man to an officer I can't recall off-hand. He used to have a place in Walking street Pattaya many years ago but ended up marrying one of his girls and moving out when the heavies moved in. He was in charge of the washing and ironing in his house...I cooked Christmas Dinner for him many a year after finding he was given beans-on-toast by the wife and daughter...Two washing machine man he was...and could iron a hand grenade into a pack of pineapple rings before your very eyes.

I bought a new iron last year, haven't used it yet.

The story about my ex was from about 20 years ago!! He has been dead for fifteen.

I've been well looked after/pampered like King Dick... for over a week now (as I've been crook with the man-flu).

That being said, I do the majority of the cleaning and cooking (my choice)

Before you say (or think it) I'm not pussy whipped or nothing...

I'm self-employed (interior plasterer) so I'm normally home well before my missus who works 9 - 6 pm.

I don't do ironing though.. that's not my bag.. and she tidies my man-cave (cause she has a tidy fetish)...I have a cleaning fetish, so we are a perfect match.

I like looking after my lady... she's well worth it... and yes, leaves her with energy to jump me bones 555...

I have a team of: tilers, painters, plasterers - whom I sub-contract work to (I just source the work) so I have plenty of free-time and energy to do house-work.

But if I am working hard (myself) with me bro, she will look after me... we are a team, she's me best mate and the love of my life... nice to look after each other, innit?
