    Mini mart stock programme needed

My wifey has just opened a mini mart and needs a simple programme she can use to let her know what's selling etc.

Anyone got a free programme they could reccomend?

    Cheers

Good luck with that Kurgen. I was offered an up and running mini mart some years ago. The farang & wife owners were fed up with it as they couldn't take holidays together or have a day off. The farang used to work in it in the evening but he jacked it in because of the Thais attitude at the cashout. They're still trying to sell the place years later.

    Sorry I can't help you.

    Yep, spellcheck.

A pencil and a sheet of A4 should take care of the rest.

there are a few software package for F&B that can be used in a mini-mart

the problem is not the software, it's how to configure it with all the prodiuct reference, this can be quite difficult, and possibly impossible for a Thai to understand or do.

You will be better off with pencil and paper, maybe an Excel file

even for some larger Thai corps with hundreds of employees, that's how they operate, that's why you have so many employees there, they do manual tasks that a computer system could automate. I speak from experience.

This might be a handy bit of software to have to keep all the locals credit in check

Protestant work ethic seemed to work for J P Morgan, Dale carnegie and the founding fathers.

I doubt any programme will develop business acumen unless chinese

I think you mean Andrew Carnegie, unless you are trying to win friends and influence people.

So it's clear - a mini-mart type to make a profit/a living/income supplement or the image of owning and managing such a business - just breaking even..??
