    They all look expensive.

Any one of them however, would only cost drunken Uncle Somnuek about 2,000 Baht to pry out of his 15 yo Hilux front axle, in an only-slightly less mangled condition than it's rider.

    Ride for Pops.

My theory that Bollinger is an international rock superstar just gets more and more feasible.

All bikes for pro racers, and all probably touching in excess of the ten thousand pound mark, but mountain bikes have a history of being stupidly expensive so I'm gonna go for D, the Specialized full-susser.

I'm voting 'B' on the basis that it looks the biggest waste of money, and that's dill's rationale for starting the thread.

The possible weakness in my reasoning is that dill might have no particular reason for starting the thread.

^I certainly didn't, I just wandered out of the supermarket and there was this exhibition. I thought Slapper might like a look.

This one Slapper, is a Tour de France bike apparently and you could take it away for 300,000 baht. He reckons an enthusiast would know that each wheel is worth 100,000 alone and the round thing near the pedals is worth another 100,000 baht, so a bargain at less than 6,000 quid

This one was a paltry 55,000 baht and he let me have a ride on it too. It was surprisingly light to pick up. Those huge tyres are really thin and feel like balloons. I felt a bit of a twat on it TBH

This one is a downhill mountain bike for those loonies who are into it. I see they've named it aptly. I forgot the price, around 150-300,000 I think.

My favourite of the lot would of course be the Bianchi. No doubt comes with Campag componentry throughout but we'll let that slide on this occasion.

I think B, the frame alone is 3500 so the running gear will be the same again or more.

^ Oh shit hang on, I've fucked up. I remember now some woman saying one of these bikes was 400,000 baht just for the frame. And you couldn't buy the rest of the bike
