    Which gassy brew is worse?

I find Beer Lao average. It's no better than a VB or Tooheys. Entry level stuff. Not sure why people rave about it.

Beer Lao is cheap and compares very favourably against the chemical spillage that passes for Thai beer.
If you want decent grog it has to be imported and you get to pay extra for that.

Asahi is brewed in Thailand. It is a good beer.

Asahi is a world class beer. Lao is average at best. So beer brewed in Thailand is bad but crappy Laos makes great beer? Is this you argument?

    Yep...

Are you saying Thailand's status as a presumably 'non crappy' country automatically leads to great beer?

Anyone who wasn't raised on the liquid anonymity that is Australian beer would immediately recognise Beer Laos as a better brew than Thai brewed Asahi.

If you can't taste how inferior the Thai brewed version of Asahi is to the Japanese version then there is no hope for you. You must gargle with Lao khao for breakfast.

Beer recipes are followed wherever a beer is brewed and differences are marginal.

Pretending 3rd world Laos makes a better beer than Japan just shows you know nothing about beer.

It might be 'cool' to say a 3rd world beer is good but reality is it is an ordinary beer.

There are hundreds of craft beers brewed in Australian that are world class. Pretty funny how you claim to be a beer expert yet didn't know that.

Best you stick to 3rd world bland beers cause it makes you sound cool.

    Are you really this thick?

As I already posted in straightforward English, Asahi beer as available in Thailand is brewed in Thailand.

Not only did you miss that, you also seem to be hallucinating that I have 'claimed to be a beer expert'.

All beer brewed in Thailand is so messed up with additives that nobody would buy if it weren't for protectionist taxation.

Well, nobody would buy it apart from maybe one clueless Australian who apparently doesn't know good beer from a pint of yak's piss, who has trouble reading and seems to need a straw man to play with.

You sure are an angry guy. But then again drinking some ordinary 3rd world beer is the only thing you have to look forward too.

The chip on your shoulder about Australian's is pretty sad and says more about you than anybody else.

Enjoy the smog and the 2nd rate beer champ.

Please explain, with proof, that there are additives in beer other than barley/rice/yeast/CO2. It is beer not motor oil.

Lots of beers and wines have additives. Heck if you are worried about health you wouldnt be getting drunk at all.

A lot of people say they can tell the difference between coke and pepsi but most fail blind taste tests. I substituted some beers in pubs with people who like certain beers and hate others and only 1 noticed the difference.

There are three kinds of Asahi Super Dry you will find in Asia. The first is the original, Japanese produced Asahi. The second is the Chinese brewed Asahi and the third is
    the Thai brewed Asahi.

What's the point of starting a thread asking what the worst beer is then disagreeing with everyone?

    Everyone has different tastes.

There's a coffee thread you can sort out when you're done here.

there is clearly a difference between Coke and Pepsi, you will need to be brain dead not to tell the difference

regarding Thai local beers, they all taste the same shit, no difference

I can even tell the difference betwen mineral waters here, Minere or Monclair
