    Cobra Gypsies

Interesting and entertaining travel doc, I don't think there's an India forum on TD so I'll post it here. It's a handycam job of a guy that spends time with a tribe of Indian gypsies that live in the arid north. Thought I'd give it a go and was hooked by the photographic quality of the journalism and by the vibrant and entertaining culture of the gypsies. Very colourful and upbeat, this is what living in peace and harmony looks like

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

I haven't looked at the vid yet, but are these the same folks who are the roots of the European Romany Gypsies? I had a Romanian gf once who hated them and claimed they were from Northern India not Romania...

The Roma were originally from India and migrated into Europe about a 1000 years ago. Knew a few back in the UK and they are quite proud of their Indian heritage.
