Welcome back to the land of Frowns

How good it is to be back to the land of frowns, within five minutes of being back i had a fight with a taxi driver.
Got a taxi at SUV, told him I wanted meter,no problems sir he replied got in switched on meter and within 20 meters, he switched off, asks him why you switch off, responds 500 baht to go suki4,no I reply meter, no he says I not want to take you them.

If only i had a camera on my phone it would of been a great youtube vid.

Gets to hotel that I go to all the time, hadn't of changed any sterling to baht booked for 3 nights only had enough for 2 nights and explained to receptionist that I would pay now for two nights and when I changed money would pay for the third night, silly bitch starts getting argumentative saying you have to pay now,by this time my bloods boiling, I ask her do you know how many times I stay here I say,get me the duty manager as your just about to lose a good customer, being Thai and not wanting to lose face, she decides she has made her decision and it's final, duty manager comes and he is someone I know and you've guessed it no problem he tells me,i explain the problem with the lady, just to rub salt into the wound he gives me a cheaper room rate so not to lose a valued customer, and now its back to the land of smiles.

Same happened to me. As soon as he pulls off he switched the meter off. He refused to switch it back on and I had to open the door and threaten to get out. We were only doing about 5mph at the time. Anyway he switched it on. Got to Mochit and the cnut wouldn't help me get my suitcase out the boot. He knew I had walking difficulties.

I never have such problems as I am always polite. Thais love me and are glad to see me at all times . I have to admit that being well groomed and handsome does work in my favour and I receive better service than some unkempt, smelly, snotty nose types do.

    Hey Jacky Boy,

Why fuk with a Taxi when you can just jump the Airport link and BTS to Suk 4. ??

Regards the problem at your Hotel, you must remember many farang scum stay on Suk 4 and many Thai don't like them.

You feeling rich with a pocket full of Quids, rates good huh.

I don't think that he would have much of a welcome there. I used to go to the Cafe Royal with my mate. The music was good and as there were two of us nobody bothered us. It was a place to relax without girls asking the usual questions relating to country of residence and marital status.

We were always treated nicely there but, of course, we were both clean and tidy, as we say in Wales. Not a trace of snot to be seen and our jeans bore not the least signs of urine staining. I have always found that one gets better treatment in Thailand if one, at least washes one's face and hands and doesn't wear a smelly tee shirt.

You should know by now to head upstairs to arrivals and get a taxi.

As for the hotel, Thais don't normally give a fuck about return custom. Nick all they can off you now, they could be dead tomorrow philosophy.
