Fancy a road trip? Now you can drive from Thailand to India

If you are in the mood for an extended Sunday afternoon drive you now have the option of diving to India’s north east via a four lane highway going right through Myanmar – it’s true the Indian-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway, that links the three countries, is now operational. The 300km journey runs from Moreh in India to Thailand’s Maesot visa Myanmars Tamui, Mandalay and Myawaddy.

So if you fancy a two week road trip – this is just what you have been waiting for

I'd like to do that drive.

It can't be 3000 km for that would be 215 km per day for a 2 week trip.

You could do it in less than a day if you get a decent jammer, 8 yaba pills , 18 bottles of Lipo and don't stop at the borders.

    ^^

It's 3000km, drive it how you want, it won't change the distance.

Is that 3,700 kms one way ?

The furthest i've ever driven, is Bangkok to Samui which is around 760 kms.

I had to break that down into three 3 and a half hour journeys because i get fed up driving,

This article in the OP thats come from the Samui Times.....

Why are they not telling their readers to drive from Samui ?

Do you reckon they're sponsored by a certain monopolised carrier?

Yep, Dils that is 3700kms each way. Not much to see for the first 2000kms then it gets better up the qld coast. Driving a comfortable V8 Holden Caprice - easy.

The far south strip of Burma might still be off-limits to casual independent travelers - as would be the far north [near the Chinese borders].

A right wolf in sheeps clothes.

i bet that's great at the lights next to a boy racer.

I had the fastest Malaysian car ever produced a few years back. I'm not one to brag though.

I'm gonna wait till the Thai Junta builds a cycling track along this highway. Don't want to crash in to any wayward cyclists.

I think you will find it is more than 3700 klms - I drove kewarra beach to adelaide in just under 3 days via broken hill in my 308 HX panel van with a trailer - I picked up 2 backpackers in cairns and asked them how far they wanted to go , and they asked how far was I going - freaked them out when I said adelaide .

I have done 3200 klms in 36 hours from mount isa up to tennant ck and down to roxby in my fj55 - included hiding from the coppers in tennant ck for about an hour as my cruiser lacked registration

I also did 2400 klms in 24 hours - adelaide - bright - adelaide - bright - girlfriend at the time left the tickets to falls festival at the house in adelaide

To Australians a 3000 Klm drive ain't a big deal, more just like a small road trip.

I've driven Perth to Coral bay in one day 1200KLM.

    Fuk that though,

These days I just plod along, get of the road by 4ish o'clock, knock the head from a cold one and relax.

    Happy Days.

Also driven Perth to Townsville, fook knows how far that is but it's a fair drive.
    Stroller is a Yerman faggot.

I just booked a first class coach Bombay to Bangkok 300 baht including refreshments and air con.
I foresee a competition between the 2 nations who can get the least roadworthy vehicle to arrive with out assistance .
