At my daughter's school the boys sit on one table girls on another, at the end of the school day the children that have finished their school work are allowed to go home. So when picking my daughter up, its difficult not to notice all the girls have finished and having a gossip but most of the boys are still struggling away trying to complete their work. The other noticeable thing is that at the local universities, a high percentage of the students are female, I read some where that at the prestigeous universities 70% of the roll are female students. Just observing around the Moo baan here, the children out playing and interacting with each other are females, what are the boys doing ? sitting at home watching cartoons I am told.
To me the empirical evidence points to Thai men being less intelligent and much lazier than Thai females. If this is true, it must come about during up bringing, I mean they must be born with the same amount of potential.
My experience is that boys are treated by thier parents in an entirely different way.
The local shop keeper has two children 1 of each. The boy is a fat, indolent creature. Totally lacking in social skills while his younger sister seems a bright girl, always helping her mother in the shop while brother lies on a bed watching crap cartoons.
