    Becoming a teacher in Thailand

You bored stacking those shelves in your local supermarket day in day out, bored of the Uk dreary weather? Then why not become a English Language Teacher in Thailand.

Anyway this guy emailed today and he is offering no foking around verifiable degrees, yep you 2 can become a degree holder, so lets get down to the nitty gritty of it all and stuff.

How long does it actually take to receive my Life Long Degree?

This can vary depending on what kind of Credit Card you use and your location. Usually approval takes place the same day.

Can you tell me the names and addresses of the colleges and universities that grant the degrees before I apply to one of your programs?

    No!

    Do I have any obligations.?

Yes! The act of making payment is a declaration that the person named on the diploma has sufficient life/work experience or prior study to justify the award. We do not require a resume or any documentary evidence to back up your declaration.

Well it all seems simple enough, you can contact them Here

Is Bangkok Shill involved in this?

If not, I simply wouldn't trust it.

Schools enter the Hall of Shame

Sarasas Schools enters the Caution Zone - TEFLWatch.Org - Truth and Justice in the TEFL World

We start off with Sarasas Ektra. Sarasas Ektra is considered to be one of the worst Sarasas branches. According to reports received on TEFLWatch, teachers are expected to make weird oaths of allegiance to school, God and country and if foreign teachers do not behave the way the principal expects them to, they are caned in front of the students. One former student even confided to one of our reporters that Sarasas “is the most dangerous prison in the world.” The accusations seem to be over the top, but in the months that the school was on the board, there was just one limited response to the allegations made against the school. If this wasn’t enough, our reporter was threatened with deportation...

That TEFL watch site is good, at least it used to be. I actually interviewed with two of the schools in their hall of shame. Dodged two bullets, I guess.

DD how are these life long degrees different than what you can buy on the KSR?

I am taking a wild guess here, I assume the ones from KSR are just forged documents, these ones are real ones that are worthless educational wise but prove you are able to use the interney to purchase stuff.

actually, the need for fake degrees is solely down to employers, so you can't blame the employees

I had three of my best workers refused to work on a Saudi contract as they did not have degrees. They had no reason for their decision other than "we need qualified people".

A degree does not give you any qualification for working, just for getting a degree
    I have reported your post

No they can't. What right do they have to wake the students up and stop them talking on their cell phones if they aren't qualified to do so.

    Right!!
    55555555

Which is why when I was teaching i had no degree at all as well as no teaching certificate, but it was funny how I had to explain grammar rules to the teachers that did have degrees, and my students had higher test scores.

Let me add that I taught at a good private school, not a government school.

    Hmmmmmmm...
    Does that make sense?
Not really... But neither do many other things in this country; do they?
