A little side article in the Post caught my eye. Among other startling facts the piece claims that 9% of Americans between the ages of 20 and 29 are virgins. What's that all about? Have they given up? Waiting for just the right match, or what?

And, this perhaps even more amazing, 12% of all Mexican-American adults are virgins! What? They've never hear of Tijuana? Too busy eating?

Do you personally know any adult virgins? I certainly don't.

There's a lot of that "be a virgin when i marry" Christian stuff floating around in the states, that probably accounts for a good few percent.

Sexual promiscuity is not as common as some want to make out. Apart of the moral/religious influences, there are also personal preferences, not everyone feels the need to have a different partner every weekend, some don't want one at all.
