    Where's the farang??

    I am in a lather.

    I'm extremely fukked off.
I don't know why, I've lived here long enough to know what sort of ignorant kunts i'm being allowed to share the country with.

Just now, my wife has arrived home and a bloke in the barber shop opposite.. a customer... a big fat customer said to my wife.."Where's the farang?" i know this because I heard it. I was smoking through the window.

She pointed at the house. (obviously the farang is in there.)

I knew this because I saw it and was smoking out of the window.

I think that's what pissed me off most.
My wife really should have said... "fuk you kunt " or probably better.
"you mean my husband, he has a name you know you obese twat"
    but no... just a point.

    I'm getting bored with this.

    "Where's the farang?"

I'm planning to take my wife back to the UK soon and as ignorantly ignorant as the South Walians can be, I very much doubt that a stranger would yell out... "Where's the Thai?" and if they did, I'd be fuking mortified.

    "Where's the farang?"
Don't we deserve a bit of respect?

    "Where's the farang?"
Have I had too much to drink?

Next time you see the prick without his wife, ask him "where's the Thai"?

    indeed Chuch.. that's the irony.
the kunt isn't simply getting "a haircut"

Big fat dirty police kunt had only a towel on when he yelled.

You'll be in for a BIG surprise...better stock up on Valium before you go home, if a harmless little remark like this sets you off!

^If you think people in the UK won't think what I said they'd think then you are wrong....the only thing (most) people back home know is from what they see on the TV...and that is Louis theroux and Bangkok Nights etc...

You seem to be under the illusion that Thailand is a civilised country full of civilised people.

    Fool.

    ^I assume so.

Then again, I've taken my wife back to the UK twice and no one has been anything other than nice.

I just know that a lot of people are quite ignorant of Thailand. Fek, before I came here I thought everyone lived in straw huts

I showed a friend a picture of a hotel room and he said "God, you've got proper beds" without a hint of humour.

This has just reminded me of a conversation I had with two of my best friends last time I went back...I invited them to pop over to see me.....one said he wouldn't like to go to Thailand because of all the go go bars......i didn't even bother to explain.....

(great smiley by the way...i will use it often)

BTW, these aren't stupid people, the guy has a PhD.

I took my sister in law shopping today and a aquantince started talking to her because she thought she was my wife (all asians look the same).

Aquantince was very confused with the blank look she got in reply as she doesn't speak a word of english.

I didn't have the heart to tell her.

Does this belong in this thread?
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

I haven't spoken to any of my friends since my last visit to the UK and I don't think I'll bother going on my next biannual (or however you say once every two years) visit. just don't have anything in common anymore.

    Really?

Anyway, seriously, you should consider very carefully how you're going to react to any disparaging remarks towards your wife - it will happen.

^That's kind of the point. If nobody ever tell you it's wrong to do something, you're not going to think it is.

You dont want people referring to you as 'the farang', tell them why (without making it out as if it was self-evident and they were stupid for not understanding it). I think you'll notice they listen.

And if you havent learned to say it in their language, perhaps you should make yourself more of a person in their eyes, by learning it first...

    I speak the language.
the bloke opposite had never met me before.
never made the effort beyond "where's the farang?"

I always associate that smiley with Dr Pat Pong. I believe he has somewhere in the region of several thousand posts consisting of nothing but.

When I'm refered to as "Mun" instead of "Kon" is when I put my foot down. They usually only say it if they don't know that you can understand Thai.
When corrected they almost die of embarrassment.
