Well, the first few sups were OK+. Different than the usual Thai beers available, so that was nice. However, now the bottle is empty, I can say, umm, nice for a change, but for me, one is enough. I'll try a different one next time. It has quite a strong flavour - if you like that. And as the alcohol is 6% ABV, it passes the Klong Toey test. Give it a try if you see it. As for me, I've got a bottle of NZ Tuatara beer ready for next weekend.

Well Its Friday. I now decided to only drink once a week, usually on a Friday or Saturday. Never beer.

I think tonight will be Hangar 1 Vodka with splash of Cointreau over ice. Is it 5 yet?

Canadian Club Classic 12 Year Old Whisky

I'm not usually a whisky drinker since leaving Ireland a few decades ago.

Not as smooth as I would have thought given it's 12 year maturation.

    Still, goes down nice.

How do you guys rate it?

That's because it is a blend.

When my parents entertained in the 50s and 60s, high balls were the drink of choice: Canadian Club and ginger ale over lots of ice in a tall glass with a sprig of crushed mint to garnish...so, my first taste of spirits was CC...JWB is a far better blend, imo...

Had some Myanmar wine from Shan State on Friday- very passable imo

Trying some of that new Singha Light stuff. Up from 3% to 4.5% so giving it a shot as I usually drink San Mig Lite.

All indications are that I'll be continuing to drink San Mig Lite in the future too.

    Winter here in the West.

    Just cleaned out the Fireplace.

    Currently it's 12C ... low of 8C overnight.

Bought a 2 cases (6 bottles) of the Pirramimma Lions Gate Tawny Port from the Mclaren Vale wine growing district.

    Smooth ...
    Tasting Notes:-
    Aroma
This Tawny shows a bouquet of toffee apple, chocolate and stewed plum.

    Palate
This delicious fortified Tawny displays ripe prune, fudge and chocolate mousse characters, all enveloped with old sweet oak flavours.

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

Off the booze tonight, just a little drink, not much.

I'll drop a bottle of Tequila mixed up with a few tabs of Ya-Ba.

Going soft cock tonight, back into it tomorrow.
