Don't thank me - I'm stating a fact, it's not something that happens in all cases it al depends on the parent left to raise the kids, if they are not very good then the kids end up favouring the estranged dad or in some cases mum.

More observationist, jeez - I've ruffled a few feathers with that one.

I was refering to a friend of mine who was widowed when her kids were 1, 4, and 8, and had to raise them alone.
