Thread: The sleeping habits of Teakdoor members

Since posting from England I've noted with interest the sleeping (or lack thereof) habits of some of our regular posters.

My findings so far:

Dillinger staggers in after a heavy session at the pub at about midnight. He knocks over a couple of lamps and trips over a few pieces of furniture en route to the fridge where he sticks a few slices of ham in his face and cracks another beer before falling back into the living room, opening his laptop and tapping out a bunch of bollocks for the next few hours.

Alwarner goes quietly about his business, rarely moved to forego his late-night televisual feasting in favour of conversing online with a troop of untrained monkeys. But on the rare occasion he spots a topic he deems worthwhile, he'll pounce and make it his own.

Kingwilly NEVER sleeps.

Texpat drinks pints of turpentine with dettol chasers and repeatedly smashes his forehead on the keyboard.

I think that's pretty much it for the Teakdoor night shift, apart from Withnall of a weekend who's puddled prose smacks of previous LSD abuse.

Ha ha, just watching Top Gear.

Last night I hit my bed at 8am, no choice as I was polishing up some tracks on Sony soundforge 10 which is more fun that my normal insomnia riddled bedtime routine. Going to bed at that time is my only sure way of grabbing some sleep without the usual 60 minutes of changing positions and taking a piss three times.

I like the wee small hours. I try to keep my night owling to a reasonable time, fucking fail big time though.

If I'm not tucked up by 11.30pm, the following day's a wash-out. Not so much so in Thailand. You can close your brain down for prolonged periods of time in Thailand and nobody notices. Superb!

If anything, you fit in better that way.

King Willy does sleep and will be taking his usual 2 hour snooze now.
Gravy's going to bed early this week and could be up for a stealth photo attack by Wasabi or a hometown humbling by lost and found.
DJ Pat could start a Thai bargirl thread at any given time
Nige could pop in any moment with paintings, or himself fully trannyed up
Blue could come out with some football news about the next sambo signing
Some fat Northern monkey could also pop in with a 3,000 word essay about a solitary food item.

It's hard to sleep with all the anxiety and excitement on here

You forgot me Somtum ,,, allthough tucked up at 9pm I am hitting the keys at 4am ,, does that count for night ??

We don't count Nige. It's the lunatics hammering away into the wee hours we're taking the piss out of here..

Its the heat.

I have never in my 40 odd years of living here been so hot and sweaty at night.

And my poor laptop is suffering too.

I sleep a maximum of 4 hours a night when i should sleep 7.

And people shouting and laughing in the street don't help.

Ive been waiting up for this all month.
