3 week booze binge: What happens inside our bodies?

I could look this up on wiki but I've not been this shocked since England last won the world cup. I've not done 3 weeks non-stop drinking. I physically cannot. I gotta eat, I gotta be civilised. I did 6 days last year at a low ebb, but that was self inflicted.

Anyway back to the 3 week thing, my neighbour a few floors above told me this morning he'd been 'on the piss' for 3 weeks now and he was on his way to the shop to buy more high strength cans. I'm talking about pure drinking and smoking all day, no food, the guts won't take food after a certain time anyway, he told me.

''Didn't you get hungry? Not even ravenously hungry?'' I bloody do the next morning after a binge. No was his answer, he's been doing it for years, ok he was a bit reddened about the face and looks about 57 instead of his 45 years of age. Haven't caught a wiff of him or his breath thank God, I bet you could hold a flame to him and he'll go up like an inferno.

''Don't you worry about your insides? Don't you get pain?'' Negative answer again, he's modified his organs it seems, but what happens inside?

I consume lots of water when I drink anyway but am sure he doesn't. So his mouth and throat would have taken a battering, I doubt his oral hygeine is too important to him, so let's assume he hasn't brushed for weeks. His throat with all that smoke passing through? People smoke more with booze so it's not just like doing 10-15 a day.

Lungs and heart? I wouldn't want to know. Liver? Ditto. Stomach must be suffering, bet he's had an ulcer of sorts over the years. All the empty guts and booze, a candidate for Irritable Bowel syndrome? Probably. pancreatitus anyone?

Overworked bladder? What are his bowels passing? Two more areas that can't be neglected. Ok I'm done being a doctor, I'll lay decent odds this guy is dead by next year.

Well, I've had none of the below problems, apart from the slurred speech.

Pat, look up on Youtube a documentary called 'Rain in my heart' and you'll see exactly what happens with people who drink compulsively.

I'll watch that later. I've seen these unfortunate souls first hand, having done work with homeless and volunteer work at St. Petrocs / Addaction a few years back. But it seems to be a spiral fuelled by pure laziness to do those days at a time and beat the drink, that's the acid test, harsh but the truth.

I was told today, in French, by a f-ing woman to f-off home to my country. I had had two glasses of wine.

I blew it and started to call her everything under the sun, in French. I have lived here since 1973 etc. blah blah blah. Made me feel good and put her under the radar.

For once in an argument like that - I was sober and could hold my own.

Sheesh, she thinks Scotland is an Island... and works in a school!! No atlases i presume.

Ok, your body map. I good. Maybe the wobbly legs.

I don't argue or get loud when drunk, I'm terrible at arguing and changing personalities, repeating myself and raising my voice when drunk, it's a sign of a problem drinker. I just do that online instead.

    I can't write.

I can get drunk and all that, but all the a long time. I'm usually the one helping the drunks home.

I enjoy getting a wee drunk on with friends, not just going down the pub. I did that last year and was rape drugged... not nice. Four ribs cracked, leg was fucked for two months etc. Beaten up

I know who it was and i have friends who will find him.

So what is the answer to the question in the thread title, or are you happy that this has descended into an alcoholic coming out sesh?
Anyone who drinks non stop for more than 24hrs has a serious problem. If you do it on a regular basis it's a killer.

    What is rape drugged?

Are you actually saying you was drugged then raped?

Did you get mouthy in a boozer and come unstuck, maybe another tart gave you a beating.

Is this little more than a fantasy

You need to be a bit more specific!

Rape is a serious crime where the police needs to be involved to bring the offended to justice, not your friends.

How did you cope being off for work in them two months, and if you live alone it must of been a nightmare doing the cleaning etc let alone getting out for shopping.

As long as my neighbour above continues his sobriety strike, I'll keep you posted as to his condition and appearance, but obviously no pictures.

If only he knew he was famous. If only he knew how to use a computer.

I was out in a pub and someone drugged my drink, i remember being dragged in snow (remember snow) and being in the hospital. Now, with the hospital and my lawyers, we are trying to find the fucks.

Not very nice, but one of them i know. And he is shitting himself-

Five ribs broken plus ahairline femur plus a black eye.

And you ask why i potter on forums. Its just to to have a laugh-

Anyway, enough about my silly life.

I have friend who cleaned, and fed the cats etc. and cuddled me coz i was going through crap

Just watched the whole 'Rain in my heart' BBC documentary on severe alcoholics. Quite scary, sad, tragic and self-inflicted too. Shocked when the first girl at 26 yo died not long into the programme

It seems to be suddenly stopping the debauchery that kills people. Suddenly off the piss, drugs, cigs, etc.

    Nobody respects a quitter anyways.
