    Heat wave discourages Scots

Friends of mine works for one of the larger holiday companies in the UK, today he got a call from their Glasgow office.
A chap had called to ask if he could cancel his group booking (12 guys) trip to Thailand.
His reason was: it was 28c in Glasgow today and they have been told it is much hotter in Thailand, they don't think they can handle it !
I am sorry to say their request was denied, they will be on their way in August.

We could have a whip round to pay immigration to not let them in.

Most of the scots I know wouldn't know how hot it is here as they never leave the aircon bar.

They are now experiencing the hot sunny summer and have worked out that a holiday in good weather locally may be a better deal, and Thailand can wait.
They could take out travel insurance and cancel, then claim.
