Based on this clip, you may be among the world's 1% of richest people. All you have to do be in the top 1% is make $34,000 US a year or more.
Yes, I am among the superrich of the world making over 34k US a year.
No, I don't make it. I'm with the 99%.

jesus, that's just sad, it's like everybody, right ?
I'm a senior carer in an old people's home. I'm responsible for the health and safety of myself and 3 other staff, 20 elderly people with mental illnesses, and 22 with lesser, but debilitating problems every night shift (unsocial hours). If there's a fire, it's down to me (responsibility wise). An accident, down to me. Burglary, down to me. Assault, down to me. I clean up other people's shit every day of my life - so how the hell am I going to be anything but a pleb on minimum wage?

I'm only 1, max 2 NVQs off manager now. In fact if I wanted to manage a really crap place, I'm there already... *sigh*Originally Posted by Dillinger

Charles Koch Foundation: An Income Of $34,000 Puts You In The Wealthiest 1 Percent (VIDEO)
I was wondering about TD members experiences with the 'real' top of the top. I wonder how many people here find themselves dining in the same restaurants as their politicians and the super wealthy power family members from their countries. I can't say I ever have. The 1% of America are invisible or just have never crossed into my world. I guess if you are a city person there is probably more of a chance of them being around. Even in Thailand, I can't say I've been eating in a restaurant when any notable Thai person walked in.
Thank you - always wanted to be a percentile
But remember, that's 1% of the world, not one percent of any particular developed western nation.
The cost of living in most of the world is a lot less than that in developed western nations.
Had a look around and found this chart. 34,000 Us is around 100 dollars per day (93.something), so yeah, 100 bucks a day puts you in the top 1% of the world:
so is smeg in the top 0.1% ?
