Thread: Thai money, time for some change?

I reckon it's time for some change.

Get rid of those poxy satangs for a start.

20 baht notes should be replaced with a 20 baht coin.

Introduce a larger note, either a 2000 baht or a 5000 baht.

Ditch the stupid 2 baht coin too.

No larger denomination coins please, I don't have a man purse..try walking around with C$20 bucks odd of Loonies and Toonies....don't want to fall in a klong..sink like a frickin stone.
Getting rid of satangs is probably a good idea but GST goods would be marked up/ down ..think they do it already in large stores?

Problem with large denomination notes in mom and pop stores/markets....transaction takes so long while they run find change?

Definitely get rid of those nasty 2bt slugs. Whoever thought that up and the one who stamped it through must been on a real earner to so publicly defeat common sense.

You know they're 2 Baht coins as they've written it with a marker pen

We dont want bigger bank notes!! When they introduced the 1000 Baht note the price of p*ssy went up to 1000 from 500 Baht overnight !!!

20 baht coins? No way!! A lot of the time I've got a big wad of 20 baht notes in my breast pocket so I sure as hell don't want a load of heavy coins tugging down my 'muda shorts.
