No beer insomnia - any sufferers?

Last night was the first night this year I have not been able to sleep, it was also the first night this year I hadn't had a beer, not even one as the shop was closed all day.

Is there a connection here and has NBI happened to any of you cnuts?
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

If you are a regular drinker, you will struggle to sleep without at first.
When I quit, the first week was pretty difficult.
After a while though, your sleep is much better quality.
It's nice to sleep right through the night and not wake up sweating and weanting a piss in the early hours.

I am a sufferer from no drug insomnia.
Sometimes, when not sufficiently opiated, I have to get out of bed in the wee hours and have a beer or two or a sang som soda. Meanwhile I am usually on the web, waiting for drowsiness to set in. A certain herb works wonders as well.

Ask your new Flippo friends to organise some Lambanog to help you go to sleep.

When I used to get drunk I used to wake up about 3 am - wide awake for about two hours - no chance of sleeping - then fall back to sleep about 5 for a couple of hours and wake up feeling terrible. Now I'm sober as sober can be my sleeping is wonderful....my life is one desperate pit of woe and despair, but my sleeping is great....Probably just your body wondering what the bloody hell is going on.
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!
