    Mistakes

When you have made a mistake, do you like people talk about it to you again and again? Why? Any good reasons?

You'll have to forgive MM - that's just his way, unfortunately.

    It depends on the situation.

If I burnt your sausages on a Sunday morning, then I'd expect a few derogatory comments over the course of the day, but if you caught me in bed with the headbanger who lives next door, I'd expect a world of pain for as long as you felt it necessary until I got it into my thick skull that banging neighbours is not acceptable.

    I've never made a mistake.

    Errors?....hmm.....maybe a couple.

    But never a mistake.

I find it's a two way street- if you make a mistake, but refuse to admit it or confront it, you are likely to have it thrown back at you repeatadly.
If you admit it suitably contritely, then this is not likely to happen (well not much anyway).

Of course there are some people who just want to go on and on about the negative. They are known as whingers and are best ignored and/or avoided.

I have to say that if I'd caught my wife banging the neighbour, she'd hear no complaints from me.
In fact she'd never ever hear anything from me again.

hmmmm, sounds like my missus, never admits to being wrong, so of course i will bring it up again and again, whereas a simple acknowledgement of the case will result in it being allowd to rest.

    Yep, typical Asian/Western dynamic Willy.
Try and 'let go'. Often, the quite understandable frustration at your partner not admitting she's wrong (mine's the same when she gets stubborn, of course) leads you to becoming stubborn and petty minded yourself, and just makes things worse. The 'cure' becomes worse than the symptom. I don't need to tell you how stubborn the Thai can be, when there's face at stake or when they just decide to dig in.

I think westerners go on about stuff again and again because they want reassurance that whatever it was won't happen again (probably because it does keep happening again).

I find that Asians/women can be just as bad though, especially when they're trying to seperate a man from his beer/friends.

You should start a thread about it.
It's all the rage on TD now.

DD is even thinking about a marriage guidance forum.

If somebody burnt the sausages or attempted to separate me from my friends I would have to find out why such tactics were being used.

Maybe they are doing it for my own good. Maybe not.

Burning sausages could just be a simple cry for attention.

Maybe it's time for you to go on top MTD you lazy sod you.
