Thread: Good nightclubs in thailand?

(Sorry if this isn't the correct section to post this )

Hey so in returning to Thailand from August to December as a tourist. I haven't been there in 3 years but as far as i can recall there were some nice nightclubs in the pattaya area and in Bangkok but they all played pretty shitty music like Justin bieber, pit bull and other pop crap. Are there any clubs out there that fit these parameters?

No obnoxiously drunk farangs with their hookers
No obnoxious hookers trying to get me to buy them drinks.
House / Dubstep / Trap music
No or little pop music.
have Hookahs

They don't have to be super nice high class night clubs i just don't like the ones that are filled with tourists and bar girls. Also it doesnt matter where they are in Thailand because im always down to travel

As i remember insomnia was pretty bad and Differ and Noir were both great.

Try RCA in Bangkok, lots of choice, can't vouch for the music though. For Uni students and acoustic sets, try the roads around Chan Kasem Uni (which is a music orientated Uni, hence the abundance of venues) off Ratchada 36. No farangs there. Cheap beer and it opens late.

For shit places with farangs and whores, try the hollier than thou Lonely Planet.

A good/deep Google Thai search will suffice.

Okay so im a 19 year old American and my girlfriend is Thai and shes 21. Last time i was in thailand i was 15/16 i had no problems getting alcohol i could walk right into 711 with my matteyom 4 uniform on and buy a bottle of 285 or w.e, but i did have difficulty getting into some clubs because they said you had to be 20.

I can actually speak thai well and read and write a fair amount. I did a Rotary Youth Exchange my sophomore year of highschool (10th Grade) So since i was there for a year, lived with thai people and attended a thai school i know a fair bit. I also have a solid girlfriend from a highclass family there so not looking for girls really. U can come party any time man!

Thats all good. But I lived with my first host family. They had no kids and a few old people was quite boring. My host mom said she met some people with 3 kids i went and chilled with them for a few days and decided to switch houses. Not trollin, i wouldnt hookup with some poor bitch that didnt have a future no offense to anyone who reads this. =D

Thanks for pointing out the reds thing i was wondering what that was. I thought it showed that i only have several posts instead of lots.

A semi-decent night club with no obnoxious drunken farang or hookers and little pop music is a bit of a tall order. However, if you are prepared to go out into the sticks of the north east, you may find something reasonable, masquerading as a Kareoke bar. I found a few, in my travels, but I'm scratching my head to remember exactly where they were. Nam som, was one. It was a 'bring your own disc' sort of a place and the toilets were a 50 yard walk!
