    From Wiki:

Saint George (ca. 275/281 – 23 April 303) was, according to tradition, a Roman soldier from Syria Palaestina and a priest in the Guard of Diocletian, who is venerated as a Christianmartyr. In hagiography Saint George is one of the most venerated saints in the Catholic (Western and Eastern Rites), Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, and the Oriental Orthodox churches. He is immortalized in the tale of Saint George and the Dragon and is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. His memorial is celebrated on 23 April, and he is regarded as one of the most prominent military saints.

St. George is the patron saint of England; his cross forms the national flag of England, and features within the Union Jack of the United Kingdom. Traces of the cult of Saint George in England predate the Norman Conquest in the eleventh century; by the fourteenth century the saint had been declared both the patron saint and the protector of the royal family.
and he just stands there, waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him, with LIGHT coming out of his mouth!

    Thank you, Miss Holly.

The flags on here are a little euro-centric. I don't know what they are.

No Stars and Bars for me.

is correct, and i was told that this is called a union flag, as opposed to a union jack, which many refer to it as.

i think it maybe be called a union jack when its on a normal boat working for the navy??????? cant remember for sure but somthing like????

When I lived in the States, I was so jealous of my British friends. I thought all British were so worldly, fashionable, and had great intellect. Loved the posh accent.

Then I went to Thailand and met the Chavs.

Despite most Merkins thinking it's the Confederate flag it's the first national flag(s).

We do study quite a mixed bag in history in the UK. Even the real reason behind the Boston Tea Party as opposed to US propaganda that is used to brainwash you guys.
