How bad does your wife's mouth smell?

No I have not been on the juice. Sort of serious question. Well it is serious.

My mrs loves the strongest smelling hotest stink food on the planet and then gets miffed when I start gaging over the bouquet of shrimp paste, 3lbs of garlic, chilly peppers and god only knows since I can not read the bottles. And that's only breakfast!

Everyone who eats her food just loves it. (have a look at the blog below.) It is special, I just can not handle the smell 24 7!

Is this culinary art normal or should have my nose sealed.

    from a confused puker.

So do you notice anymore? I have never like the pong of garlic, but that shrimp paste is overwhelming.

    She complains about cheese!

As I'm eating the same, my breath probably doesn't smell like a jasmine garden.

If we both appear to be foul - what's the difference?

garlic, god how i hate garlic breath, not just the wife, but everybody, her brother eats so much he reeks of it,
even friends of mine have garlic breath, yuk,
it should be banned worldwide under an obnoxious substance law.

Jeez, that is quite a problem when your wife breath stinks.

No solution there if she loves eating all that shit.

Just ask her to rinse with listerine after each meal.

Won't help if she belches big style fish paste belly gas right in your face while you're making delicate love to her but should ameliorate the general situation.

The thing I hate is coffee breath on a woman. If a girl asks for coffee at my gaff I tell I have run out and offer her a selection of tea instead.

Chilli and garlic smell nice. Fish sauce has a bit of a pong though. I hate the smell of papaya and rockmelon.

I have forced the missus into secretive-consumption of stinky foods. Sometimes I'll come home early from work just as she's scooping somtam pla raa into her gob, and threaten to divorce her.

Can honestly say I never notice as I eat just as much Som Tom as she does so I guess my breath stinks pretty bad too!

...give a rat's ass. This is Thailand where just about everyone's breath has a chili, garlic odor to it.

I don't mind food smells coming from her mouth, what pisses me off is "first thing in the morning" mouth stink. That can be avoided through rinsing or brushing teeth well before sleep and by avoiding processed foods, coffee, starches, tobacco and anything that causes a white film on the tongue.
If you or your missus have a coated tongue, you've got digestive problems, so rotten bowel contents and throatresidue.

One other thing, the stinkiest mouth a person can have is one with rotten teeth in it.
Caries are pits of rotten gunk, and if you know how Thai folk (and others)
are scared sh@tless of the dentist, it's easy enough to understand why mouths smell so foul, especially first thing in the morning!

Not a lot you can do about the situation really.
The primary smelly culprit here has been found to be allyl methyl sulfide, which is passed into the blood during the digestive process. Once it’s in your blood, it eventually gets passed out of your body through various bodily excretions, which includes being exuded through your pores and also passed into the air that fills your lungs. So as you breathe, the air goes into your lungs and is contaminated by the allyl methyl sulfide; this in turn causes your breath to continue to smell even if you’ve cleaned your mouth out.
As mentioned, this sulfuric compound will not only find its way into the air in your lungs, but also will be exuded from your pores. This ends up causing your whole body to smell, not just your breath. As you are excreting this sulfide, you essentially are wearing a stinky perfume. This effect lasts as long as it takes for your body to get rid of the stinky sulfuric compounds, which can be anywhere from a few hours to as much as a day after eating the garlic.
Because of the fact that the smelly sulfuric compounds from the garlic are in your blood, there is little you can do to immediately get rid of the smell from eating garlic, other than to mask it with a stronger smell. However, many people swear by parsley and sprigs for getting rid of garlic breath, which is why particularly parsley is often included in many dishes that contain significant amounts of garlic. Another popular cover up is to drink hot mint tea. Further, drinking milk while eating something garlicky has been shown to reduce bad breath and does an even better job if you drink the milk while the garlicky item is still in your mouth and swish it around.
