The whole of Iran breathes a collective sigh of relief. Even the Princesses. I'm sure your council estate provides you with all the resources you need to form your own manufactured 'opinions'. The opinions and experiences of people who have actually travelled to Iran need not concern you.

I worked in Tehran and a few smaller places like Shiraz and Isfahan for a few years about a decade back and would put the odds of turning up in Iran and boning some bird met on the internet at about 5000/1. If you met them on the streets there and could get by in Farsi, 500/1. The odds of turning up (in this particular example) and something going seriously wrong would be even money if not odds on.

In short, Iran is a safe/friendly and quite scenic tourist destination, but I couldn't list the amount of things that should keep someone on a quasi sex-tour flying straight overhead on his way to Thailand.
