After all my years of living here, I have come to realize:
1. Thailand is a dangerous dead-end socially, and dare say economically if you don't own your own business or are retired comfortably
2. You are surrounded by socially inept individuals, most being British petty criminals looking for a new mark, TEFLers trying to live without responsibilities, and all kind of "colorful" characters who are escaping their homeland for various reasons (I have met quite a few of those).
3. The only cultural activities are drinking, exotic dining, whoring, and shopping. Great for a 2 months vacation, but after that ?
4. Too many desperately trying to stay there and being paranoicly scared of returning home, thinking that Thailand is the answer to protect them from that chaotic world.
5. At the end, farangs live in a parallel world next to the Thai parallel world, and stare at each other through their bubble walls
Did I forget anything ?
Dear Papillion
I read your initial thread and could not help but observe indications of psychological defects in your character i.e.
1. The tendency to write a sentence and then just add a word out of sequence.
2. Laziness in the use of indefinite articles.
3. Usage of American English.
4. Insecurity, giving rise to an aggressive style of writing.
5. Spelling mistakes.
6. Missing punctuation, inclusive full stops.
You have me at a disadvantage in knowing your occupation, but I can only assume it to be something akin to a doorman or a tuk tuk operative.
