The most bizarre things you have seen on your Travels

one of the most bizarre must of been in Manila, just before the Marcos coup.

We were in a Jeepney there was a fella dead in the side of the road, we asked the driver to stop, so we could go to his aid and he responded why you want to go to jail, people were crossing the road to avoid going anywhere near the body.

^ wasn't kissing, he was throwing up 6 large changes and a bottle of LK.

Weirdest thing was me in my early 20s leaving a bar in Patpong with a nubile young thing hanging off me and bumbling into my form 3 English teacher Mr Hastings coming out of kings castle with LB in tow.

    Small world innit..

A month in Manila and I've seen some bizarre stuff.

The funniest is the guy outside the poker room. No one wants to listen to everyone's 'bad beat' stories, so there's a guy outside where they players can go smoke when they're steaming, and you can pay him 200 Pesos to listen to the losing hand story in detail, maximum 15 minutes. Sometimes there's a queue. The guy is cleaning up. probably the only winner in the house.

Seen a lot of strange stuff in my time, last month some sort of fertility festival down the road. lots of lads and men dressed as women carrying big paper and wooden penises and wooden puppets having sex on hand carts.
See pigs heads and candles placed under magic trees, all very colorful local traditions, parties for dead Monks with dancing girls in little more than bikinis.
The strangest thing I have ever come across was in the USA, don't remember the name of the town, somewhere east of Montana. Walked into a chicken place and ordered a take away [ had hair then ] a stunning blonde girl said, I love your ascent, whats your name. I couldn't resist and said Bond, James Bond. She said would you like to go for a drink mister Bond. Now that's the weirdest thing I have come across. Jim

If I hadn't been thinking of marriage to another very blonde girl at the the time in the UK. Think I would have married the girl and moved to nowhere USA.

Don't know about BKK, but out here in the boonies, it's considered good luck if a snake crosses the road in front of you. JIm

Driving through a small outback town in N.S.W. OZ we noticed that the town seemed deserted, all the doors and windows in the houses were open, the pub was open with music playing and no-one in it,kind of spooky,

We drove around the corner and as we were passing the local school we seen what appeared to be the entire population of this town standing around the schools' swimming pool with fishing rods in their hands.

Too much like the twilight zone for me so we got the hell out of town real quick.

Most bizarre thing I've ever seen is foreigners moving to another country, complaining about it non-stop as if they were from some sort of actual utopia. As well as 'investing' money into a society they'll never be a real member of.

Confused thoroughly. It's as if common sense was in suspended animation.
