Zebras. Do some people not notice ? What are they like ?

I was just wondering what its like to raise a half Thai half farang kid. Is there any traits unique to them ? Do they get picked on for being a zebra ?

Do people even notice ? Cuz Ive seen some zebras and other then slightly ch'eyed eyes, its hard to tell.

Are they more or less intelligent ?

Intelligence is about 50% inherited. Given that half your child's DNA will come from you, you can work out for yourself what this might mean for the poor thing's prospects.

On second thoughts, maybe you can't.

Thai people love Luk Kreung kids.. At least in my experience they do. In fact I wish the old lady's would give us a break! My daughter though aside from hair and eye color doesn't look very Thai at all.

Must say SoCal.. Zebra is a pretty childish term and not even very accurate. Thai people aren't black. You probably call half blackies Oreos as well. Fok off Canuck

That is what I noticed. They look white except they have brown eyes.

Given the numbers of luk krungs on TV here in Thailand, I'd venture they are doing pretty good. Don't care for the dyed brown hair thing myself tho...

I would definitely say I inherited a couple of Thai traits, in school I was furious if anyone made me look silly in front of people, and my revenge was always when they least expected it. I was no Charles Bronson but I was obsessed with it.

In Thailand I used to get the usual ''mothers a whore'' stuff when I was younger from Thais of many walks of life, but often indirectly, meaning comments that give off assumption. Many Thais would asked me straight ''Where in Isaan is your mother from''

At first I took it to heart but as I learned more about the mother nation, found that it was normal.

Whereas in England I'm seen as 'exotic' and 'euroasian' in some circles.

Thais are no more mellow than the next man. As what to call a 50-50 child/person, then try using a Thai dictionary instead of calling them zebras. My kids get called Farang Noi. They look fcuk all like zebras, or Thai come to that.

One of the worst parts I should imagine for a LK kid is the suspicion and suggestion that your old dear was a ten dollar hooker. It actually really gets my goat when I hear things like this, and try to educate people as best I can. for example on driving my brother about Thailand and he commented on seeing a 60 yr ols bloke with a teenager female - he made a sarci comment, and I asked him "so there is no chance in your eyes then that that is his daughter then?" followed by "what if that was me with my daughter, would you still think that then"/ Being a prick he said Yup./

    what a prick, no?

Personally i don't give a shit, my kids get a lot of attention around issarn, but if you call them (falang noi) they will swear at you, and say they are (Lao) like the mother.
it is clear that this country is obssessed with luk krueng, just look at magazines tv and such,
if that gives them an opportunity to get loaded, up to them, when they are old enough, for now i call the shots,
    Sorry about me horrible speling

I had a miserable, moody Thai-hating phase where I'd tell anyone who asked that I was in fact half Lao and that my mum was a ten dollar hoe from Soi Cowboy or Pattaya, serious!

You should have seen some of their bemused faces.

But if their asking that, it's begging that kind of answer already and it made them happy to be proven right.

You have one weird fukked up sense of humour Socal. Go back to that trailer park where the best part of you dribbled down your Moms ass cheek, and go call someone a choc ice, bounty, zebra or whatever other retarded derogatory shit you can think of.
Then come back on here and let us know how many laughs you get. Leslie Nielsen you aint.

One co worker got his Vietnamese wifer pregnant and the first thing another co worker said was "zebra" right to his face. If that passes here in real life then it should be fine here in cyber space I thought. But maybe you sensitive English kunts see it a different way.

I am going to ask my lady friend about zebras . And yes, I am going to say it in real life.

Its easier to write zebra then half farang/half Thai blah blah fucking blah

And I started this thread for information on zebras. Nothing else.

If you ever expand your limited horizons enough to visit the Philippines. I hope you come and ask my wife how her zebras are, you ignorant, racist trailer trash. I guarantee you it will be a conversation you won't enjoy.
