Thread: How Have Thai People Impressed You Today?

The old lady cleaned the shit out of my house, no request. Her idea.

Homeboy at the fried chicken joint hooked me up with 3 extra wings on a B100 purchase.

Guy at the gas station misheard me and filled up more than I asked for. Minor amount, but without hesitation told me it was ll good.

How have Thai people impressed you today?

The good missus held her own - 4 large bottles of Leo shared amongst 3 people.

Easy to mau.

Not today but twice this year.

Been on a few long trips in the car. Pulled into Chantaburi with the engine temperature guage not working. Checked into hotel, found the local Nissan dealer and they fixed it.....no charge.

Drove into Tak, spring on clutch pedal broken so kept popping up extra high.
Nissan dealer in Tak fixed it with new spring .............. no charge.

On both occasions the mechanics doing the job refused beer money and I had to stuff a hundred in their shirt pocket and walk away.

Great service considering its a 23 year old car.

I was in a bar the other day in the early evening .
Me and the gf were looking after a little two year old girl .
There was a Thai /German four year old girl there aswell .
The four year old took the two year old and stood her in the corner .
She then gave her a really hard slap around the face , for no reason .
She began walking away laughing .
The two year old was holding a half size pool cue .
She two year old hit the four year old with the pool cue.
Full swing right on the bridge of her nose.
The four year old started crying .
I was impressed that the two year old didnt cry after getting a slap

After not even a month in Manila, the Thais look pretty impressive across the board from here.

Well obviously the Thai assigned to impress me today mistook you for me by he look of things as they have done sweet fa for me today but as I have also done nothing for them it makes us even.

My secretary is a bloody saint. Irrespective of nationality. Takes care of work, protects my back - works f*cking hard and deserves every satang of her salary - and then some (company sets rate). Polite, saved my ass more times than I can count. A bloody maven on the work politics.

We were in work today, she catching up on my paper work, me making more like the inconsiderate bastard I am. Lunch was ordered, drinks ready, coffee on.

Every single day I thank my lucky stars I have her.

Actually, every single day for three weeks of the month. The fourth week her twin sister, who amazingly knows everything she does but is a total f*cking psycho fills in for her..........

(she is a cracker as well, but that is in my personal "bank").

Most Thai drivers don't need lights at dusk as they can see better than most people through their tinted windscreens. Very impressive.

They impress me everyday at how stupid they are.

Peeling the banana without using her hands... oh yeah impressive.

Dinner was just delivered within 30 minutes............normally it takes 2 hours.

They've been filming a commercial outside my place all day for whitening cream or some bollox and it started off this morning with a guy in a white leather suit on a white motorbike and they'd basically painted his face white. There was another guy in a convertible Aston Martin and he was throwing it round Silom road with a bit of bravado on every take.

I was pretty impressed with his driving but wondered why there were only dudes in the advert.

Then at the end of the day a pair of farrang models turned up, one male one female, and they makeup'd them to look a bit Thai before taking them outside for a few shots.

When they were done I was having a smoke outside and nosing over the shoulder of the editor who was on his laptop.

Turns out the dudes in the morning were just stunt drivers but the editor had already switched the models so that it looked like the chick model was riding the bike and the dude model was driving the car.

I was extremely impressed with his editing skills.

My wife agreed to me returning to Thailand, despite a 50 per cent pay cut...

Cops around the corner had a Yaba stop. All cars and trucks pulled over and stopped.
When I wound down the window and they saw a farang, the laughed and waved us on.

...and that, in itself is amazing.

Bastards! And they gave free Yaba to everyone else?

they probably learnt violence from being treated the same by their parents, esp the 4 year old's behaviour
