    First time /last time

Ok this is only for the brave or stupid of us
What was the first time/last time you did something totally embarassing.
    Ok to start you off

Having just got a job as a delivery van driver delivering sandwiches to garages and shops ect.
I was shown my route covering a 60 mile round trip .Training over and time for me to venture out on my own.
The van loaded and my list of calls noted i set out,the first few calls and i was into the swing of things no boss on my back, and driving through the country roads radio playing feeling confident and happy.
All my customers seemed ok offering a quick cup of tea and a chat, christ i'm thinking this job is a breeze.

Most of my calls are in villages,so back roads are essential to avoid the traffic.
After an 8 mile drive to my next stop through bending winding roads i am on time for my next call.
Hopping out of the van and walking round to the back i see to my horror the back door is open.
Feeling total panic i looked inside the back of the van to see three box's of sarnies not the 20 i hoped to see,in a moment of absolute stupidity i thought Oh god someones stolen my sarnies, then the thought dawned. You stupid cow you left the door open.

Picking up the remaning box's i took them into my call all the time playing senarios through my head.
What if i have just caused a terrible accident,i can see the headlines in the local paper.
FAMILY OF FOUR LOOSE CONTROL WHEN HIT BY FLYING TUNA SANDWICH.
PILE UP ON COUNTRY ROAD CAUSED BY CHEESE AND PICKLE ROLL
    PEDESTRIAN KILLED ETC ECT.

Feeling like a complete idiot i decided to retrace my route back to my last call expecting the 8 mile stretch of road to be strewn with packets, box's
    and 200 or so sandwiches.
Maybe just maybe i could salvage something

As crazy as this sounds i found nothing, not even a run over flat sandwich
some bastard had picked them all up.
All i could do now was go back to my boss and explain
I have never been so embarassed, but i have to say she actually took it well, and i did'nt get the sack

last weekend with a few friends and there was a guy and gal whom i didnt know so we were introduced and we exchanged business cards, I had trouble hearing name so I checked her card and it had a name on it Alila, which sounded like what she was telling me.

so all night i was calling her Alila, only to realise in the next day when i looked at her card again that Alila was the name of the hotel she managed and not her name!

I needed some work done on my house in London. There was a builder working a few doors away, crouching down doing something, so as I passed I asked him "are you a small builder?", as in "do you do small building jobs?". I told him where I lived and asked him to come round.

he didn't say much, just looked angrily at his mate and ignored me. When I passed by 10 minutes later he was standing up and was about 5 foot tall.

he never did contact me about the work
    I have reported your post
