    Fck I Hate Song Khran!

bloody song kran and idiot thai morons and alcohol, i bladdy had a bad feeling about my missus going home for song kran this year, i told her over and over not to ride motorcycles in her village etc, to the point were she was well sick of the fcking subject, i just 'felt' like something was gonna happen, had a fcking dream about it last nite

i just got news that my missus has been in an accident and is now in hospital..... feel fcking useless a 1000 miles away!

Goddamn thai's and song kran and fcking drinking too much! stupid bladdy corrupted festival - should be fcking canceled!

    *sorry, rant over.*

but wierd how this year, as opposed to every other year i really felt worried abt it....

yeah cheers guys, i think she ok now, she was walking home from the market and a dickhead on a motorcyc collected her, she went to hospital and has concussion and some cuts and bruising on her head, face and arm.

they want her to return tomorrow to double check.

so lucky I guess. coulda been a lot worse.

the situation was only made for difficult because my stoopid bladdy landline phone has decided in the last 2 days that her thai number is engaged.

I can ring on my mobile, but its prepaid and costs around 40bht per minute, so tends to run out bladdy quickly.

She sounded pretty shaken up, (as you would be I guess) but ok.

I worry every time the missus goes out on the road. Even just driving. Have done for the last few years. I hate it. Fucking hate it.

I don't worry so much about her driving which is shite but others around her.

She has promised not to use Tuk-tuks or motorcyle taxis anymore though and she swears she is sticking to it.

^ agreed i worry wheneva she drives, but at least you have a tonne of steel around you in the event of an accident, motorcyc its all hard gravel.

but this time the poor gal was a pedestrian, (mind you i do know what thai pedestrians are like....) - but being song kran and all i'd be willing to bet the beer MM owes me that the driver of the bike was a 14 year old whiskey guzzling twit speeding down the road.....

anyway i just spoke to her again and she says she pretty much alright just feeling a little bit jeb.

i do think it was wierd that i was so sure it was gonna happen this year.... (and no, i dont believe in all that pseudo science bollocks)

Sorry to hear about that KW. Its most difficult when you are so many miles away, you feel so useless not being able to help.

now i'm getting told off again for what i did and didnt do today and what time i got home last night, so its confirmed, she is most definately back to her normal self!

but again thanks for the posts and thoughts ( cepting butterfly's idiot savant comment)

i just happened to have internet on and TD open when i first got the news..... seemed a good way to shout and scream and do something while trying to find out what had happened etc.

i dont really hate song kran, my son loves the water fights and mostly, (erm, some of it) is just mild good fun......

just tends to get carried away and then mix alcohol, lack of policing of drivers and plenty of motorcycs it just bound to get dangerous....

101% on that comment, and this is an issue we all face, when you move countries the concern is always what may/could happen to your parents family etc - except this time it werent my family back home - it twas my family here going on a 10 day trip to LOS....

^ Sounds like what would happen if St Paddy's Day was expanded a few days!
