If you had depression suffered post traumatic stress, or any sort of anxiety disorder, would you go down the usual route of counselling, taking prescribed drugs, or find a solution yourself, There has been a lot of research done recently on MDMA and it seems there is a lot of uses for the drug.

That was the initial idea and origin toward the use and practice behind LSD, was it not?.....not recreational, but a psycho healing agent.

I enjoy a good roll, but can't imagine that sensation every day. I guess the dosage would be far less than that of reacreational use. Certainly makes a person relax and open up to other people. Wish it was legal...

Dunno if they are a good idea for depressed people as they bugger about with endorphin levels and what not.

They are lots and lots and lots of fun though.

^1st point: Yep, would have thought daily use of MDMA might have some adverse effects after a while, especially for people with preexisting stress related/mental health issues.

2nd point: Yep, most definitely, "Ecstacy" is a really apt name! I'd say out of any mind altering substance I've tried, MDMA has got to be the most enjoyable buzz, all things considered. Dancing and listening to music on E is amazing enough, but sex on E is simply out of this world.

Dropping E with someone you're in love with anyway, and chatting and snuggling, making love - wow, just....wow.

Don't really trust pills though, I only ever use it if it's in its raw crystalline form.

I did a fair bit of ekky in the late 80's. I think like most artificial buzzes, the more you did, the more you subsequently needed to get the same buzz. One night, I did three and it still wasn't the same as my early 'trips', which were great. So I gave up.

It's got it's uses, and I wonder if it might be of use as a short term course for the clinically depressed (somewhat of an epidemic in our society). But of course, ultimately it is an answer to nothing.

If you're in the UK then I would've thought pills are available for a pound each - but I certainly wouldn't use it to combat depression as the come down will add weight.
