Custom Cargo Khaki Kilts! " “CRY FREEDOM! and let slip the legs of woe.”

In hard, craggy, far-flung places, the noble kilt tenaciously survives and mutates.

Just 15 minutes ago, after securing a new, licensed daycare spot for my son yay! starting tomorrow! there I am, strolling down Gladstone Avenue in Fernwood, a leafy old hippy neighborhood here in Victoria B.C., when I stumble upon "Freedom Kilts," crammed into an old storefront.

In large letters in the window there is “CRY FREEDOM! and let slip the legs of woe.” Hanging on display are kilts ranged menacingly with names like Cargo Kilt, Desert Kilt, Camo Kilt, Casual Kilt, Khaki Kilt, I believe a Khaki Cargo Kilt and "Kids Kilts."

They also had all these photos in the window:

    Action kilt!

Didn't need the ^ ass shot.

    Nice shoes!

Finally, I can have closure about "The Kilt Question"

I live in the southeastern U.S. and I'm seeing more than a few fellows wearing the khaki or heavier "canvas" kilts -- mostly fellows in light construction/remodeling work.

Strange....but I'm sure they find it comfortable.

    You lift it decorously.

I find a kilt, or sarong, or lungi, or fisherman's trousers far more comfortable than anything other than a guide suite to wear.

    Hootad Binky and other members,

My name is Steve Ashton and I am the owner and designer of Freedom Kilts.
Thank you for posting that you walked by the shop.
We are makers of Custom Contemporary Style Kilts which means that they have all the Traditional Kilt styling with the addition of Pockets and Wash & Wear fabrics.
We ship kilts all over the world however the two gentlemen from Amsterdam are not wearing Freedom Kilts.
Yes you can wear kilts with kilt hose or with boots and the socks pushed down. And yes they are the most comfortable article of clothing a man can wear. The are also the only anatomically correct garment a man can wear.
Hootad Binky, the next time you are in Fernwood, please feel free to stop in.
The coffee is always on and there are cookies in the jar. Pull up a chair and join in the conversation.

Anatomically correct or not, I still think men wearing skirts is gay.
I sometimes hang around the house wearing a sarong, but you won't see me step outside in one.
BTW- white socks with boots or shoes (outside of the gym) is not an Aussie habit at all, but a path to ridicule.

Odd response. I guess a persons background dictates how you regard certain sights. I though the woman wearing the kilt looked like a bull dyke.

Excuse me for being blunt; but, What The Fuck does that mean?
Oh, yeah and welcome to the board, BTW. You're welcome but don;t expect a huge group of us to move over to skirts, er Kilts. bugs can fly up there and shit.

A kilt worn properly looks good but I suspect that only the Scots can do it.

Perhaps now is a good time to start that thread about the high oestrogen levels in Thames drinking water affecting the sexuality of the southern english.
