Black people reduce bread basket of Africa to disfunctional bankrupt state.

This is not a racist comment, just the reality, if you want to take as racist, well, up to you, just the facts here.
Under white rule this country was the bread basket of Africa, now, under black rule, well....
Zimbabwe has just £138 left in the bank, finance minister says
Zimbabwe's finance minister has announced that the country only has £138.34 left in the state bank accounts.

Zimbabwe's finance minister Tendai Biti Photo: REX FEATURES
By Dan Newling, Cape Town8:40AM GMT 30 Jan 2013
Tendai Biti made the announcement at press conference on Tuesday, declaring: "Last week when we paid civil servants there was $217 in government coffers".
Mr Biti went on to tell the shocked news reporters that they were individually likely to have healthier bank balances than the state's.
"The government finances are in paralysis state at the present moment," Mr Biti admitted.
The confession is the culmination of years of ruinous economic policy by Zimbabwe's despotic president, Robert Mugabe, who has ruled the southern African country since independence from Britain in 1980.
A decade ago Mr Mugabe, now aged 88, launched his controversial policy of expropriating white-owned farmland and handing it to blacks.

The policy, which saw 4,000 white farmers forcibly kicked off their land, was economically disastrous. It also demolished investor confidence in the country, paralysed production, and prompted international sanctions.
As a result, Zimbabwe – which was once the fertile "bread basket" of southern Africa and possesses fantastic mineral wealth – is now one of the continent's poorest countries.
Three-quarters of the population live on less than £1 a day and over half of the work force is unemployed.
In 2008, hyperinflation in the country reached the astronomical figure of 230 million per cent – meaning that paper money became worthless almost as soon as it was printed. The former British colony now uses US dollars.
Speaking on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Biti claimed that the state's dire lack of cash means it does not have enough money to organise the constitutional referendum and election that are planned for later this year.
"We will be approaching the international community to assist us in this regard," Mr Biti said.
Following a disputed election in 2008, Zimbabwe is now ruled by a coalition of Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF and the opposition Movement for Democratic Change.
However, the arrangement is marred by political infighting and is widely considered to be ineffective.
Mr Mugabe is aged 88 and is reported to have pancreatic cancer. He however insists that he is the only person who can rule the country effectively.
Rather than acknowledge his own role in the country's economic collapse, Mr Mugabe blames the West, which has imposed economic sanctions in protest at his autocratic rule.

I think the US sanctions destroyed Rhodesia/Zimbabwe far more than Mugabe did...at least until it drove the bloke to insanity.

Big mate of Thaksins, apparently, ol' nigger Hitler. Mugabe and his missus were in and out of the LoS quite often when square head was in the big chair. Probably swapping notes about spouting nationalistic shite whilst wrapping yourself in the flag and plundering the countries' wealth
He rewarded his bully-boy militias and merceneries with land stolen from white farmers. Unfortunately and unsurprisingly, people who are happy to spend all day sitting under a tree with an AK47 don't make the best farmers and food producers.

Last week, while on a cruise. I read the book, 'Black Star Safari' by Paul Theroux.

His conclusion is that Africa is a basket case, and the charities are running a huge racket of 'hunger porn', peddling upsetting images of starvation to make contributors feel guilty and donate, and then spending on imported 4-wheel drive cars to swan around in.

Any decent school teacher is recruited by the charities as an aid distributor - emptying the schools of good black teachers.

    Theroux also points out that
    a) charity workers (as well as French soldiers) are the buyers for African child prostitution - which is proliferating to fulfill that demand.

    b) there is no sign that Africans subsequently volunteer to do free charitable work. They never pick up the ball.

    As for the Governments.

"We will be approaching the international community to assist us in this regard," Mr Biti said.

Theroux observes that the Government's just rely on foreign aid to provide the country's budget. They don't have to govern.

    'Black Star Safari'....I recommend it.

Mugabe wasn't normal from day one, one of the first things he did post independence was massacre 20,000 people who didn't like him.

^ I was thinking earlier, 1960's and the UN sanctions after Rhodesia's attempt at independence, heavily influenced by the USA. This is what destroyed Rhodesia and allowed Mugabe to rise. The rest is history.....

Yes, another real genius writer. Next he's going to tell us there's going to be more famine and disease, HIV is on the rise and its all because of the expansionist policies of Imperial America. Actually I should have written that book.

Yeah, really all that Mugabe and his cronies are doing is the same as what the white settlers/colonialists did (albeit on a larger scale).

End results the same though: the few profit at the expense of the majority.

People that live overseas might hold that thought and it was true many many decades ago but these days its mainly because they love to get on the piss full on with all the social benefits afforded to them thanks to our hard earned tax money.

Sorry bout that but true innit.

All the aid money in the world will not sort these black countries out simply because corruption is ingrained and the governments rotten to the core.

Much better to cut all aid money and let the revolutions begin and leave them to sort there own shit out.

The black countries do not give a flying fuk about the rest of the world so leave them to it.
